If these women and men married us citizens and made their homes and worked in the us then the government and immigration should leave them alone. They should get on the ball and do their jobs instead of waiting until the spouse dies to get around to their case file. All immigrant / US marriages should be confirmed within 60 days at the latest. And I agree with the mother of the one who stated that the government was willing to separate the mother from the child. THIS SHOULD NOT BE STOOD FOR! BY OUR GOVERNMENT, PEOPLE AND ESPECIALLY OUR PRESIDENT....

This is a sad story. I hope that President Obama's administration will help the widows and thier families.

This is horrible! These poor women! But then again...why would you want to stay in a country that makes you feel so unwelcome?

Yes, the illegals who have broke the law continously need to be deported. Write your congressman and tell them you will not support amnesty for illegals.

I cannot believe the segment on widowed foreign spouses. I live in a neighborhood that is OVERRUN with illegal families. Entire families from south of the border here illegally and WON'T bother to speak the language of the country they have come to. We cater to them, special forms in Spanish, it's getting to where you have to be bi-lingual to get a job if you are AMERICAN.
We should be going after the gangbanger wanna be's that are here illegally. I am sure there are many more of those than the spouses who came here legally and started a family, and assimilated into the American way of life.
Shame on us.

Okay...Back in the 70's I was all about change. Good change. What I am seeing, and am a part of is the way the government is now dictating to us (the minority...whites) how to accept others. I am all for diversity. I try my best to accept all. However... Most are here illegally. A white woman with two children can not get help from any agency because there is such a waiting line to cater to Mexicans, Hispanics, drug addicts,...people who do not belong here.

How dare you. These couples were married. Do Not Deport them. Why don't you go after the illegal folks? We are innindated with those who do not belong here. The United States Goverment needs to do its job.

Enough already!

I am ashamed at this point to be an American!!!

Instead of targeting widows and widowers of American citizens who are here LEGALLY, the government needs to focus their attention on the hoards crossing our borders illegally. By the way, doesn't President O'bama have relatives living in this country ILLEGALLY ?? I believe one of his aunts has also been given a 2 year amnesty as these LEGAL widows. Rank have it's priveleges ?????
