- I have great respect and admiration for Shawn's ability to find a way to survive. Those who judge and second guess the method of survival, clearly would not have survived had they been subjected to the same. I do understand that some of those comments are made in an effort to subdue their own fears and gain some sense of control. The overwhelming powerlessness experienced by everyone in a child kidnapping is what makes this such a heinous crime and all the more incredible that Shawn survived to put this preditor away for good.

- I am glad Shawn is telling his story. No one should have to go through what he went through. His parents have done well to keep his profile low.
