I have heard about this story since I was little..my dad and uncle helped search for Maria. Dad is 85 now he has never forgot about this case or the precious little girl at the heart of it.

Guilty. Too much of the evidence, even that based on the 55 year old memories of credible witnesses, lead to John Tessier as the killer of Maria Ridulph. And, he got away with the rape of his sister.

He is also one of the most unctuous suspects I've ever seen. Is that a reason to convict him? I would have.

I believe that there should be NO statute of limitation on any violent crimes. My mother at the age of 89 was brutally beaten up in her house. She is 99 years old now. If they ever caught the man who did it he could not be tried for it.

Of course he did it,he more or less admitted to sexual assault on the girl.for this he should be hung.Let's hope he suffers and dies in prison like all men like him should.

This is crazy. How can this tie him in? Was there DNA or other evidence to lead them to him?

I refuse to give this story any credibility. I will never believe that anyone can accurately describe, recognize or even project what a man looks like 55 years later. Those who would step forward and point their fingers after all this time, are criminals themselves
