I swear Im noticing a theme in these cases in America, because what I think Im seeing in this case and time after time, is people couples who appear to be living well beyond their means, seriously, I know she had a 200k office manager job of some kind, he had had a crummy shoe store, of course, as others have mentioned, now hes hooked a fairly high-earning wife, suddenly he's the owner of another 2-bit iffy 'investment" business, but my basic point is, LOOK at the STUFF these people owned, the house, with her now wanting to go after another house which was what lead directly to her murder, the CARS, not one classic car, or 2, or 3, SIX Corvettes or similiar GM classic FFS,
PLUS the 'Avalanche" vehicle she was killed in.. a lot of these people have got to be jus way in over their heads with the sheer amount of STUFF they somehow manage to acquire or convince themselves they need and can pay for..or can they? Is this sheer acquisition thing what puts these people on the road to these dark outcomes, I really think that a lot of 'middle class" Americans have a form of delusion de Grandeur..

I love how this idiot didn't think that he would have to explain how all his cars were at home except the one his wife was killed in. Wouldn't it make it obvious that he had to have been with her when she died? Also, if you want to make it look like a robbery, take the several thousand dollars worth of jewelry and dump it somewhere or hide it.

I love how the Assistant D.A. refers to the prison witness as a "snitch". Way to fight for truth and justice there jackass.

You can tell that Joe Caronna is a Complete Sociopath just by looking at a picture of him. I knew right away he was the murderer when they showed his picture in the intro.

I think, for many defendants, the most damning evidence, at least in my opinion, is when they try to get rid of their spouses material possessions. It is incredibly disheartening. I do not know how many 48 Hours episodes I have watched where the guilty party has said, "I don't care what you do with them, just get rid of it." AND they usually ask somebody ELSE to get rid of the possessions. Why? Because, to me, they do not wanted to be reminded of this other person and/or there is still lingering resentment or guilt for what they have done.

There's something wrong with the video player. After ads the player turns dark while the sound is still playing. I had the same problem a few months ago.

The American Justice system is seriously damaged - no longer even working. Just knowing someone is guilty is not enough. Skeptical cops and friends is not enough. Evidence ought to be required. But judges and juries are so malleable(one party being scared of not getting reelected), that evidence is simply not as much of a consideration any more.
Apparently, Americans are happy with this diseased system - which so easily incarcerates innocent people.
I've no idea whether 'Joe' is guilty or innocent, but it's clear he should not have been tried on such flimsy evidence. An animated prosecutor is, sadly, now all you need...

I had to mute it during the loud, obnoxious theatrics of the prosecution, but I thought he was guilty.
To the woman who was the mistress...you are not a good person for what you did. If your husband isn't giving you what you need...get a divorce or get that attention from an unmarried man.
Sounds like more than one greedy person involved in that case. And lay off the plastic surgery people.
