"The Ghastly Love of Johnny X" is described by its director as "a juvenile-delinquent-outer-space-on-Earth-type . . . intergalactic, dark, horror, sci-fi comedy with melodramatic moments." Maybe that's why it only grossed $117 at the box office. Bill Geist reports.
