House Dem: Cantor speech may have opened doors to compromise

During a press conference announcing legislation proposing to make firearms trafficking a federal crime, Rep. Elijah Cummings, D-Md., said he was "very encouraged" by a speech today by House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, R-Va., pushing bipartisan "meaningful legislation" on issues like guns and immigration. "Just maybe, this is the beginning of opening doors," Cummings said.
