Kelly: Stronger background check would have stopped Tucson shooter

At a Senate hearing today on gun violence, Mark Kelly, whose wife, former Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, was shot in the head two years ago during a mass shooting in Tucson, Ariz., argued that a more comprehensive background check would have prevented the shooter from acquiring his weapon.
