At Senate Judiciary Committee hearing today on gun violence, committee chairman Sen. Patrick Leahy, D-Vt., said, "At the outset of this hearing, I note that the Second Amendment is secure, and it will remain secure," adding that while Second Amendment rights "are not at risk...what is at risk are lives."
