I believe it was for money sure... But also they said she stayed in the room to orchestrate, and wanted his eyes gouged out, maybe to say this is for looking at other women and not me anymore! I also can't believe Benji's Mothers death wasn't immediately looked at as a possible Murder, with the way the crime scene looked, and I too believe that all States should be open to the death penalty today!

Money was definitely the motive here. It was just all the easier to kill off both the husband and mother given she resented both of them. She was probably looking to kill her own daughter just to keep her quiet.
