W.H. will support short-term suspension of debt limit, Carney says

White House Press Secretary Jay Carney today said President Obama "would not stand in the way" of legislation that will be voted on by House GOP to suspend the federal debt ceiling until May 19, allowing the government to pay its bills with further borrowing.
