Did no one notice that he said "I am the only one who knows the truth."?

Not "She and I know the truth".

Bring it ON!!!
Of all the 48 hour episodes I have seen this was the first one where the actual character of the person himself made me think he was guilty and I am pretty generous with doubt.

Had he not opened his mouth I would have thought there was a generous possibility that she may have purposefully disappeared

No rational reason for him to change his name like that. He could have simply started using his middle name and a first initial if he needed a change. No, look for identity two, three and four and a trail of bodies. He is too glib.

Wait, he gets a condo and moves out but he gives her a key? They had an argument about him not wanting to move to Denver or marry her then things were fine, he wakes up the next morning, kisses her and tell her he loves her on his way to work? He tells his attorney they were keeping in touch by email and phone but the attorney doesn't get back to him about it? This is the only proof she's still alive! Let's be honest, he strangled or suffocated her and dumped her body somewhere that night. What an eerie thought that he illegally changes his identity to avoid child support, kills someone and uses that as the reason why she's missing. I don't think this will be the end of this story...

This guy reminds me of Sheri Henry, the woman who was living with her partner who went missing - Lisa Stone, in Texas. He's using the "how dare you accuse me" type of denial. If you go back and watch the episode about Lisa Stone, you can see he acts just like her. Another similarity is that Lisa Stone has never been found either. Rick Wayne Valentini/deadbeat dad/liar/criminal is this woman's killer. Dishonest discharge from the Army tells it all. You almost have to TRY to get kicked out of the military, but he made it easy by stabbing two officers. People are only this cocky when they have disposed of a body so well they know it's not going to be found. No matter what, in his mind, there is always reasonable doubt if no body ever turns up.

from what I've watched in these 'shows' is that murderers are a 'glib' bunch who seem to think they are 'smarter' than everyone else - it seems to me if your an innocent person your interest would lie with the 'missing' person mystery - instead of being totally concerned about how your own 'life' is ruined - the curiosity of an innocent person would I think outweigh concern for ones-self - after all what has really 'happened' to the murderers? they are still alive
Perhaps in the next 50 years he can think up a more suitable name for himself - admit his guilt - and do right by her family - let them have her body. It's just sad that the way people are treated as children can lead to such crime :(

It disturbs me that the cop said that someone with Jami's background and stature don't dissapear, because it makes me think if a person isn't rich or highly educated, will this cop even care? Cops like that shouldn't be cops. They're too prejudicial against people that don't meet their standards.
