In reaction to the Newtown shootings, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Cal., today announced the formation of a gun violence task force helmed by Rep. Mike Thompson, D-Cal. Pelosi appeared to choke up during her remarks as she noted the second anniversary of the Tucson shooting that claimed six lives and left thirteen wounded, including former Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, D-Ariz.
