Obama promises action on gun control "no later than January"

President Obama on Wednesday announced Vice President Joe Biden as head of a task force that will produce proposals that he plans to "push without delay" on how to deal with gun control, attention to mental health issues, and other issues arising from last week's mass shooting at a Newtown, Conn., elementary school.
