HSBC paying $1.9B in money laundering probe

HSBC is paying a record $1.9 billion to settle a federal and state money laundering probe. The British bank was under investigation for allegedly transferring billions of dollars on behalf. Ashley Morrison reports on this and the latest financial news.

By not prosecuting, it begs the question of how far reaching a real trial would have gone and who would have been exposed. Laundering money for drug cartels and terrorist organizations would make the bankers themselves members of terror organizations and members/partners of the drug cartels. Surely the intelligence agency's knew/know and are possibly involved. Perhaps a trial would expose payments to officials to ignore crimes.
Now, thanks to this decision, we'll never know.

What this decision does however, is verifies that the "war on terror" and the "war on drugs" are nothing more than a charade and a cash cow for the wealthy.
