Obama at lighting ceremony: A big Christmas tree shines out of the darkness

Speaking at the 90th annual National Christmas Tree-lighting ceremony, President Obama said in a brief speech he has been inspired by Americans' response to Hurricane Sandy and told the story of how one Staten Island community devastated by the storm came together planting a Christmas tree overlooking the town beach.
