This case was originally based upon his race because of the racist era the crime was comitted. It was clear that he didnt kill the man, but he did rob the store. Therefore, police pursuing him now is a waste of time and money, when there are killers and rapists that need to be pursued. I think the continued anger is still there because a black man outsmarted the system, escaped prison, and fled. He was origially jailed for murder and not the robbery, and I am glad he cannot be extradited back to this screwed up hypocritical country!

This case has nothing to do with race, and blacks aren't the only ones in America who gets hand outs , all Americans who are poor get help, besides that's not the point, the point is this man needs to do his time, and stop running from his past and stand up for what he did wrong, regardless he shot the innocent man or not Mr. Wright you need to stop acting innocent , and turn yourself in. Just because you married and had kids, and claim to be this born again Christian, you not the jury found you guilty , you also admit your wrong, now it's time to face the piper!!!

Its unfortunate that the victim's daughter had to grow up w/o her dad,but now what about Mr. Wrights children?I believe George Wright should be left alone.
If the man has been on the run all this time and hasnt committed other crimes, apparently he has been rehabilitated! As a young man, he made a mistake, the other defendant did his time......What more do these people want? Locking him up wont bring back the victim. At the end of the day it seems that all this boils down to is revenge & power!
The USA cant bully another country into doing what they want so they are looking for every other way, to gain power.

Forgive the man, let go of bitterness and allow God to Judge the man if he hasnt repented! FYI: This is coming from a woman who has been a victim of rape

I would feel bad, if only whites would apologize against all of the injustices against black people throughout history; then we would be on even playing field.

i am appalled at these comments and the arrogance of two cold blooded killers. this should not be about race ,education, anything except the murder of an innocent man. the two men show asolutly no remorse just that should make people fear them but it is amazing at the people who defend them.

I think the arrogance of the man is one of the leading factors in the strong feelings he evoke from all. This isn't just about the murder as the gentelmen ehjay35 hits the nail on the head. Run fast, run far Mr. Wright 'cause they're right behind you. Can't wait for them to wipe that self satisfied grin off your face.

JQ127 - Your sentiments are understood but a bit way off. I am an African and an American. No, we are not all hypocrites. We don't all condone injustice, and we are not all lazy, ignorant etc. I hold four advanced degrees obtained in the US and Europe and I have worked all over the world. 80% of my male black friends are of similar status. Not bragging, just giving some context to my next comment.

Mr. Wright made horrendous choices as a young man and caused pain to many people. He broke the law many times and MUST be held accountable. There is no excuse for this. We have gone past the hypocrisy of the early settlers and founding fathers who heartlessly stole Indian lands, killed entire families and destroyed tribes that helped them survive in this new land. We have also gone past the lawlessness of the wild west and the savagery of slavery. Crime begets punishment.

However, there is no excuse for you or people like you to dismiss an entire continent (Africa) or an entire race (blacks) each time you encounter a bad seed. Have you been to Africa where the annual output is in excess of US$2 trillion annually, and where MOST major US corporations have operations or are scrambling to get a piece of the action? (CNN, Google, Microsoft, Apple, Ford, GE, Bloomberg, Walmart, Delta, Mack Trucks etc. are all there). I am helping 4 US businesses win contracts in Africa valued at over US$150m at the moment. Last year we did over US$500m. We saved two large manufacturers from going bankrupt. These contracts from "hellhole" Africa create jobs for the likes of you. I have a crew of over 100 Americans (white, hispanic and black) working on projects across Africa and earning twice the wage they would at home. THEY DON'T WANT TO COME BACK TO THE USA with its ****** politics, gun crime, and nasty race relations. My guys drink and play together in your "hellhole" Africa. I have US contractors begging for work. Sorry to burst your bubble of ignorance but the world has changed irrevocably. Antediluvian white guys like you just have to deal with it. I gave you some credence until your comment about a "street thug" in Florida. That was someone's ONLY son. He had no criminal history and the facts of case are muddled by media hype. Regardless of the circumstances, a mother has lost her ONLY CHILD FOREVER. Do you show any compassion? NO. In your eyes he is just a thug. And you expect America to move forwards? Hey, Obama is doing a really "crappy" job cleaning up George Bush's irresponsible mess. And the white, Harvard CEOs on Wall Street did a great job too creating all the scams that have wiped off over $3trillion in shareholder value. Remember Enron, Adelphia, MCI, Tyco, Savings & Loans mess, Michael Milken and the junk bond scams, Madoff, Arthur Andersen, dot com con analysts, Lehman, AIG, Fannie and Freddie ? Should I go on? I say no more. Please educate yourself before you open your gob.

I pray he is found and gets beaten so severely he not recognized by his own mother. Like the murdered man. Then justice will be served --- right? The victim is dead but the family seeks justice and frankly that's justice. As for rehabilitation -- I don't believe in it. Once a violent criminal always a violent criminal. As for those playing the race card stop being so childish. The people of all races in prison deserve to be in prison because we have laws that EVERYONE has to follow. Why anyone would stick up for worthless criminal is beyond belief, but it takes all kinds. Again --- justice will be served. If he doesn't die on the way home he can rot in a prison and maybe some nice guy will take a shine to him. I hope he suffers pain that most cannot imagine.

Hypocrites! Hating this Wright man and all the while what he did was exactly what his victim did. Supposedly a war "hero", right? Do you know what that means? They didn't get all dressed up to cross an ocean and Bake Cookies!! Even if a soldier doesn't kill someone himself (which I doubt is the case here) he still stood watch while his comrades shot other human beings TO DEATH!!! These "Veterans" come home and are given medals for it. Then one of those soldiers gets killed in a robbery and suddenly it's "oh, this other guy was there when it happened, he's evil lets kill him"

The dead ones on the other side of the conflict, and the innocent casualties, in lands that are conveniently not american soil, THEY HAD FAMILIES TOO!! Do any americans care about them, NO! Just as long as it doesn't touch them here, because here there is no mercy for the remorseful.

And just in case you want to dismiss me because you think i'm from some third world country that is biased of western culture, I'm a fat white guy born near Toronto to Canadian parents and I like the toronto maple leafs even though they suck.
