Carney: Obama "has not made a decision" on nominating Rice

November 29, 2012 2:00 PM

Asked whether U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice's investments in Transcanada, the company behind the Keystone XL pipeline, would pose any conflict of interest if she is nominated for Secretary of State, White House Press Secretary Jay Carney said, "I'm not going to speculate about a personnel appointment the President has not made." Carney also defended Rice by noting that the investment was included on her financial disclosure forms.
