New York City Ballet has set the standard for the way the rest of the country dances. All great dancers, no matter if they are experts in ballroom, modern, or street dancing, have a firm foundation in ballet. Thanks for doing this piece on the flagship of the dance world. My kids are second generation NYCB dancers studying under Miss Sally Streets, a Balanchine disciple, in Berkeley, CA. We appreciated hearing about the indelible legacy this company is leaving behind, and the bright future they are carving out for the next generation.

After watching the segment on the legacy of the New York City Ballet - I would like to offer a follow-up on this episode. My name is Jayne Skoog and I am an educator at Talent Unlimited High School for the Performing Arts. My colleague Willhelmina Frankfurt is a former Balanchine Ballerina and teaches his technique to public school children at TUHS.

I believe there is a further story here regarding this art form and I would love to see a follow up on a former Balanchine Ballerina who is teaching this art form in its entirety.

My email is JSkoog@tuhsnyc.com
