Few people know more about lions than filmmakers Dereck and Beverly Joubert, who have been living in the bush and filming Africa's big cats for decades. Lara Logan reports on Sunday, May 19 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

- I agree with blackoasis---for 60 Minutes to CHOOSE to show the segment about the injured lion cub, alert, conscious, upright, crying after its mother (yes, we all know this happens in nature)---however, 60 Minutes had loads of film to show from Derek and Beverly--to choose to show the injured lion cub WITH NO WARNING was not responsible. Families with children watch 60 Minutes. Anyone should have had a warning for that segment---even Beverly said she and Derek didn't know if they should have even filmed it. If THEY had their doubts, then 60 Minutes should know better---and I think DO know better. 60 Minutes/CBS---you have gotten much publicity over this and it has not been good. Hope you will offer an apology (NOT for nature, but for your own lack of warning to anyone watching the show, especially parents with children. It was traumatic.)

- I am responding to a segment of your show that aired November 25, 2012 regarding Dereck and Beverly Joubert, the Lion Kings. Though I understand 60 minutes is a new magazine reporting on real live situations but I was appalled that you chose to air video of the helpless and defenseless lion cub that was injured and trying to keep up with its mother. This was very distasteful. I think the rest of the segment was appropriate but to show a helpless lion cub dragging the back half of its body across the ground while trying to keep up with its mother was totally inappropriate. This segment could have been handled with a little more class. My family and I literally felt sick after seeing the video of the lion cub knowing all well it would fall as easy prey to any predator looking for food. Whether true or not, for the benefit of the viewers you could have mentioned that something was done to put the lion cub out of its misery rather than knowing it would just suffer there until eaten. That video portion could have been cut out of the segment and still got the point across. In the future when you air segments try to understand heartbreaking situations like that have a gross impact on viewers. I turned the TV off immediately without watching the remainder of the show.

- This was such a great show! I am still crying about the poor lioness that had to leave her cub after the cub was severely injured by stampeding water buffalo.
