I sit here and watch this and I commend him for getting where he is but at the same time I see and hear him say he gives back to the community...What about his workers?? In the plants?? We are forced to work overtime or you point out, if you are sick even with a dr slip, you get a 1/2 point. Bad weather to bad, you get a point. Someone call in to bad you stay over or get a point. As far as the health care for workers, company dr. don't care about us. We employees are sick of working overtime to make money thats why you only pay $11 an hour for an automotive worker. If union tries to come in you threaten to shut down. The bosses are taken care of, never missed a meal and no overtime required. Except for one the plant manager Tom in Covington is decent. As far as the big guy, nope! You say you take care of your employees, well thats a lie! We are used up then when we are so tired and worn we are put out! The health hazzards are horrid there. Cannot drink the water! Its has big issues! But new people coming in are not told and a few have drank it and gotten sick. The air is horrible and NO SAFETY PERSON on the site! I was not going to write all this but I thought what the heck, the true side needs to be seen as far as how family oriented your company is! IT IS NOT! FLEX N GATE IN COVINGTON Is NOT family oriented. We are lied to constantly about working weekends. Some are afraid to speak out, well I am not. You treat the football team as gold and they suck! You act like a star yet they don't see the conditions in which we work in. Talk about slave labor! Third world dirty. No I am not a racist, and yes I do work in one of his plants and it is horrible the way we are forced to work. Will I stay there? HELL NO! So before you go patting him on the back, you need to see how the other half is treated. We his paycheck are better on welfare at least then we can spend time with OUR families!

The Jacksonville g jaguar's owner Shahid Khan is a "Paki" guy (which means Pakistani/South Asian Indian). Check the meaning of "Paki" in "thefreedictionary"

This was one of the most inspiring stories I've heard in a long time, a modern Horatio Alger story with the extra twists that (1) it's true and (2) it involves a truly good and likeable hero who (3) handles bigotry with equanimity. The USA is a great country because of the fact that it's a place where a Muslim from the other side of the world can become highly successful. The USA is a great country in spite of the fact that we have our share of small-minded bigots who don't understand what America is all about (as evidenced by some of the hateful comments herein). If you can't take pride in this man's success and the country that spawned it, perhaps you should ask yourself what it is that you are afraid of and why there is no love in your heart. "Perfect love casts out fear."

Ask the guy, why dont they allow even basic human rights in his country for people of other religions ? Forget basic rights, why do they kill people of other religions and honor killings etc...? What is he going to do about it with all the money he looted from American tax payers ?

We are so very PROUD of Shahid Khan,no words can be good enough to express what a GREAT man of COURAGE AND DETERMINATION he is that despite the bully's and racial discrimination (for instance right here in comments as you can see someone saying boycott him, and some other bullying)he turned around the negativity into positive, worked very hard, used his brilliant mind, outstanding education, talents and skills and made something so Great that he is the BRIGHTEST STAR OF THIS UNIVERSE, A great example for our children. His GENEROSITY has HELPED millions of Americans including the bully's, no wonder God has Blessed his Heart of Gold so Richly with "Everything", a beautiful family, success, billions, yep!
To bullys: Learn something from Mr. Khan, embrace adversity and have tolerance towards all religions and cultures,do not discriminate as we all are Americans who love and have contributed to build this country. I gave up my career because of discrimination mainly, yes I was bullied at every step. It takes a "LOT" to put up with bullying and not let it deter you instead use that headwind to make you fly higher as he did, I simply could not put up. So i SALUTE HIM. So VERY PROUD OF YOU!
we commend him, respect him, and look up to him. May God Almighty Bless you Always! Ameen!
