Even the reporter was trying to push the negative slant, when referring to the previous owner. I guess CBS is having a hard time finding objective reporters.

Khan is about as American as anyone could be. Despite being born overseas and despite being a Muslim, he sees himself as an American. If people are going to see him as a sand-n*gger, then we have learned nothing since WWII and what we did in the Japanese internment camps. And the same people who Mr. Kahn as the problem seem to forget that the Bible is riddled with historical examples of outright slaughter in the name of God. So, if I get it straight, that makes it OK for the US and its allies to murder people and stealing their resources, while branding anyone else who uses their religious foundation as a flimsy excuse to employ their foreign policy; that makes them terrorists, whenever they happen to object to being murdered and stolen from?

If Khan can be a "guiding light" for Muslims to show that Muslim extremism only translates to the same level of ignorance and stupidity that we possess on this side of the pond, when people fail to comprehend their being manipulated by politics and dysfunctional foreign policy, perhaps more Muslims might feel they can stand up and say to their neighbors, "I am Muslim, I am proud of being a Muslim, and I don't believe in terrorism, no matter which side instigates it."

Too many gullible lemmings have been led over the cliff by falling for the crap that the Bushes, the Clinton, and now Obama, have dumped on them, still believing that the US had some God-given right to all the resources on the planet and that people hate us because we are free. No, they don't hate us for being free; they hate us because we let "used car salesmen" politicians convince us that it's OK to steal and murder. Because these gullible voters couldn't get a large enough handle on all this to ever question our own government abuse of power, particularly over the last 20 years, our foreign policy went from being the Global Policeman to cleaning up pockets of any resistance to globalism.

The average chowderhead sitting in his BarcoLounger with a beer can't fathom the level of deceit and wickedness that our legislature presidencies have brought down. Instead, they console themselves with a sixpack and some anesthetizing ball game, rather than have to deal with any real problems.

The problem is ignorance; just flat-out, stupid, dumb-as-a-rock, ignorance and as long as these cerebral sloths keep cheering for more Hope and Change or thinking that Romney is different from Obama, we are lost. Who here saw the Third Party debates on RT the other night? THAT was where the real debate was, not those dog and pony shows with Candy Crowley and Bob Schieffer.

But back to Mr. Khan; Mr Khan represents capitalism the way it was intended by our forefathers. There are people out there who have ambition, work hard, recognize opportunities and take risks to gain from them. Not everyone has to become a Rockefeller and grind other people into the dirt to achieve success. If anything, Mr. Khan has probably made himself more of a target in the eyes of his more ignorant brethren, which would be not unlike all the grain and bible belt flag-wavers we saw here in the US after they'd bought the 9/11 fairy tale.

As a veteran of the military and an individual that has grown up in the Jacksonville area since the late 70s. I have seen my share of racism and closed mindedness but the vast majority of residents of this area are the nicest you will ever meet and treat you like family (which is usually a good thing). As an individual who is in a interracial marriage and has 2 kids I've walked into places that as a kid I wouldn't of thought twice about but with my wife I felt eyes looking down at me and it was a shock. It has gotten much better since the 90's and I can say I haven't had that feeling in a very long time (>10 years). I never want my children to know that feeling and I feel good about Jacksonville's future. My point is that every city from Seattle to Miami has close-minded individuals in the community and if can't or won't understand that then you are no better then those who feed the hate. A great man once said:
"Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that." -MLK

THere are racists and Islamophobes most anywhere. The majority of the population here love Mr. Khan and have welcomed him with open arms. Selecting a few idiotic comments by a small hand full of ignoramuses does nothing but create ill feelings, put salt on a very slight wound and appear as an attempt to create a problem were virtually no problem exists.

Jacksonville has come a long way since the 1960s when I was born here. Of course it can make more strides, as can most any community, but make no mistake, Mr. Khan is loved and respected - even if the team stinks!

If this segment was intended to depict Jacksonville as some backwater, racist hick city, they could not be more wrong. While I was born in the Northeast I had the good fortune to live in the Jacksonville area for over 20 yrs. I too was a season ticket holder for the Jaguars. This was a hit job by this ridiculous excuse for a "news" organization. I was shocked when I moved back to Ma. and discovered more racism here than was ever present in Jacksonville. Please do not believe this piece.

As a thirty year resident of Jacksonville and a ticket season holder since 1995, I have never heard any of these crude comments either in the local paper, on TV or on the radio sport shows. While there are more than a few idiots in every city, they do not speak for the majority of the citizens of Jacksonville. This more like a hatchet job by the NE liberal media. The enlightened elite media must make themselves feel superior to the rest of fly over country. Spend some time in Jacksonville and the surrounding locales and you will find friendly, willing to give the shirt off their back people that do not look to discriminate anyone based on religion or race. Go to CBS's home town (NY City) and try to look a passerby in the eye. They look away! I rather raise my children in a city that willing to look you in the eye, flash you a smile and give you a helping hand than a city that has little soul.

Guess this Muslim owner has the opportunity to show his Jacksonville neighbours that he is not a Muslim terrorist and that he is a civilized businessman who wants to give superior customer care. If he fails then the jacksonville community might say they had a reason to be even more judgemental..
