Wish they could interview Assad... there are always two sides to a story. This CBS segment really just seems like a promotional piece. I mean, you spend the first 10 minutes playing up the rebels to be these great people, then in the end you only spend two minutes on the brutality that they also encompass. An eye for an eye seems to be the MO of both parties involved in this conflict.

This is all lies.
The rebels are terrorists working with al-qaeda. Even Wikipedia says Al-qaeda is with them!
So WHY are we helping support the SAME people who have attacked and probably KILLED some of our US soldiers?
The SAME people making roadside bombs and suicide bombs and killing innocent people?
Beheading people?

I'll support Bashar Al-Assad and spread information.
Maybe I can find a support/donation page for support of President Assad!

Interesting report, but I was shocked by the emaciated appearance of the correspondent. I hope she seeks assistance.

The entire middle east moves from problem to problem. Assad the dictator of Syria remains in power and Iran continues unwavering on it's march in the development of nuclear weapons. Current intelligence seems uncertain of when Iran will get the bomb and Israel cannot afford to gamble with this. If this situation does not drastically change soon, I believe the war in Isaiah Chapter 17 will likely take place. Damascus Syria would be destroyed. The worlds economy would likely collapse as a result and usher in a one world government. I wrote a small 6 page book that outlines what I believe the Bible states will take place soon. I don't accept donations and it's free. It's a short read. I encourage you to have a look: http://www.booksie.com/religion_and_spirituality/book/richard_b_barnes/after-the-rapture-whats-next/chapter/1

I finally got a chance to watch the story of the Syrian war as it is being played out in he city of Aleppo.
I was born, raised went to school in that city and have been regularly going back to visit, along with my young children, my last visit being in 2009. The report truly does not begin, and actually falls quite short in highlighting the history and the fabric makeup of the society that live and dwell in this most peaceful and historic city. The ravages that the current brutal regime has inflicted on the inhabitants, the infrasructure and most importantly on the recently restored historic landmark sites that adorn this magnificient ancient oasis were very scarsely coverred. This need to highlighted more so than ever. The Syrian people enduring this onslaught have developed tremendous resentment toward their arab, turkish as well as their israeli neighbors, the world powers and most importantly the UN for their utter failure in forging and enforcing a solution that is meant to stop this willful killing and destruction. It is going to take a generation or two of young Syrians (if they are not completely annihilated) to begin to build and recover from this relentless viscious violence that we are witnessing.
