But during those 10 wonderful years i got a chance to live in Nashville and learn what country music stands for. I've learned to appreciate and love what Americans in other parts of the country call 'country people' , their way of life, their culture their attitude regarding life and the world in general and never hesitated to don the cowboy hat and boots. More than an attire, it was for me a philosophy, a mind set that which Dolly Parton embodies in her being, in her songs and interviews. Every time i listen to her songs, every time i hear her talk about TN and the Smokey Mountains, my heart bleeds and ache for home. And i know then that my love for the US and TN in particular, is not just the result of acclimation over time, but a genuine deep sense of being at home in America. Dolly Parton makes me reconnect with who i am truly deep in my heart: a simple hillbilly guy from the mountains of Tennessee.
