I bowled on an Officer's Wives Bowling League @ Eglin AFB, FL in the early 90's with Nancy Shue; she was the President of the league & I was the league Secretary. She was a real......B****H! She thought she was always right about everything, very rude, very stuck up, acted like she was better than everyone else! She has NOT aged well at all!!

Obviously Nancy Shue is involved, as far as I'm concerned, anyone pleading the Fifth is as guilty as sin, shame on you Nancy Shue, and how, as an ex-wife, can you maintain life insurance ,on your ex. husband. Motive for murder. As far as 'm concerned she was biding her time till she could kill him, for the money.

Firesided, What?¿? No, Colonel Shue's traumatic death was neither suicide or accidental but was factually murder. Prior to his death he'd been severely tortured but somehow did get to his vehicle and managed to drive for some miles before becoming mentally incapable of remaining in control of the vehicle. Because of the great trauma he'd received, his vehicle left the road and hit a tree instantaneously killing Colonel Shue. His torturers/murders had succeeded in accomplishing their goal.

You all need to remember that there aren't very many Life Insurance Companies that will pay for death by suicide. I'm thinkin' that clause was not in Nancy Shue's policy, but it WAS in Tracy Shue's policy. Now, who has been trying to get the cause of death changed from suicide for the last five years? It wasn't Nancy. She had a different type policy that was put in place to pay her spousal support should he die. Tracy just doesn't want Nancy to be able to collect when she wasn't able to herself. However, at the end of the show, the judge decided that his death was a homicide. That is why she was just now able to bury him with full honors and collect HER 1.8 million. They are looking at the wrong wife.

How can a group of prosecutors be so blatantly stupid and incompetent..? This woman is obviously hiding something and needs to be thoroughly interrogated. The nature of his wounds and the finding of no fingerprints on the duct tape should remove the suspicion of suicide. Sometimes when working a case it is difficult if not impossible to remove yourself far enough to to see the glaringly obvious. The case should be reassigned to someone who has the mental capacity to handle the case correctly. Shame on you all for allowing this travesty to play out this way.

funston2, I know it's rather uppity of me to challenge someone such as yourself whose father has such upstanding legal qualifications. However...

Nancy Shue took the 5th when asked "You were married to Col. Philip Shue, correct?" Huh?

In fact, the ONLY question that she answered was her name.

What a smug b*tch.

My father is a former prosecutor and criminal defense trial lawyer with a law degree and Ph.D. in Jurisprudence from Northwestern.

In a ideal world you could just tell the truth and justice would be served. However, we do not live in a ideal world!

Clever lawyers and prosecutors punish innocent people all the time.

The fifth ammendent was intended to protect us from overzealous, sometimes stupid, police and prosecutors who rush to judgement and are not really seeking justice, just another notch in their gun or money in their pocket at the expense of your freedom and money. You are just another case number, not a human being whos life has value.

Unfortunately now days many prosecutors and lawyers couldn't care less if you are innocent and will twist anything you say against you. As my fathers son I have seen it done up close.

Our forefathers were very wise to include the fifth amendment.

Naturally, there are many criminals out there who will abuse the fifth amendment.

That is the long and the short of it.

Shue's death was suicide or accidental. Did you notice that you had to read almost the entire story before the author mentioned that there were two eyewitness to the crash that killed Col. Shue? Their accounts of what actually happened is never revealed. Read other sources about the case and you will see that the eyewitnesses saw Shue's car leave the road and crash into the trees. He was alone in his car--he killed himself, either by accident or on purpose. Instead all we get in this B.S. "Investigation" is innuendo and aspersions about the "guilt" of his ex-wife Nancy Shue because she took the 5th. The 5th protects both the innocent and the guilty. That's it's purpose. You may remember that Martha Stewart wasn't convicted of "Insider Trading", but of supposedly lying about her actions to the Feds--although there were no tapes of her statements and in court she was convicted just on the word of the Federal Agents who interviewed her. If she had taken the 5th, she wouldn't have gone to jail. Because, sadly, even if you tell the truth, you can be prosecuted if the cops don't believe you. That's why Lawyers tell their clients to keep their mouths shut. It's good advice for all of us--guilty or innocent. Nancy Shue didn't kill her ex-husband--he killed himself.
