They should have asked whether he would be willing to take a pay-cut in order to bring in more talent. If he took an average salary (say $5-10million a year) he could easily make enough back from winning championships from all the endorsements that would follow. It's like long-term investing. Why wouldn't he consider it? Tim Duncan was successful with that formula.

They also should have asked whether or not he would be willing to play alongside Bosh/Wade/whoever else is available. Mo Williams is decent, but he's no Scottie Pippen.
