The fact that she ?loves her children beyond all else? does not change anything. It simply supports the fact that she would do anything to keep them. By her own statement, her words, no one else?s words, she said, ?I?d do anything to keep my children.? The prosecution focused on the affair and the insurance money. What they never did bring up as motive was the fact that Scott was going to take the kids. The prosecution did not want to put the kids through the scrutiny of testifying in court, although it would have bolstered their case. The prosecution made that choice to protect the kids. The defense is who brought the kids in to plead to have their mother sent home. What a burden put on those kids. Her possession of the kids is what this was all about. She put her own selfish needs ahead of the needs of the kids, and now she hides behind being their mother, once again to protect her own skin.

You are right. I don?t understand the state?s legal system. She should have gotten the full 60 years that was requested by the prosecution. It was an unbelievable sentence for First Degree Murder. But, the jury DID find her GUILTY. They even spoke to that issue on the show. They said that she was guilty, but the kids won over enough of the hearts of the jury, so they sent Traci home on probation. I may not understand the floundering sentence for this crime, but I do understand how things have worked in the legal system. You say, ?The physical evidence is not overwhelming.? Were you in the courtroom? Do you know all of the evidence that was presented? Do you know anything beyond the media reports, this heavily biased presentation on 48 hours, and maybe from Traci herself? I know these people. There is no doubt in my mind that Traci Rhode MURDERED Scot Rhode. As for ?Scott moving the family from town to town? as portrayed in 48 hours, someone at CBS needs to learn how to count a little better. They lived in five localities and moved four times, not five times. He was transferred within the same company from Iowa to Tennessee. This was part of a normal career progression within the company. The company in Tennessee began faltering, and Scott was concerned about his career and job security. He chose to seek other employment, and the family moved to Missouri. It was a smart move because the company in Tennessee closed its doors. Later, Scott did not see any further career growth where he was in Missouri, so he took another job in Arkansas. And then the final move to Brownsville in 2003. He was a professional. Moving is part of career growth in today?s professional world. I have moved a similar number of times in a similar time frame. I am by no means suicidal. I am motivated to advance my career and secure my family?s future, no different that Scott Rhode. Scott Rhode had dreams and plans for the future. Part of that plan was to dump the burden of an unfaithful wife. Until you show me that you know something other than minimal media coverage, words from Traci Rhode and 48 hours gossip BS, don?t tell me not to pass judgment!

This woman loves her children beyond all else and has made some unwise legal decisions in order to try and stay with them. Until you understand how the state's legal system works, please reserve judgement. She is trying to raise 3 boys into manhood without a father. The physical evidence is not overwhelming in this case, but the odd behavior of Scott Rhode has been known for years.

As stated before, CBS is so out of touch with reality. The sentencing of Traci Rhode was finalized today, 3/23/09, and according to the Brownsville Herald, she IS IN JAIL! The judge granted the DA's request for jail-time. It's only 180 days in jail with community service as a NURSE in the prison, but at least it's something. Oh and BTW, CBS' little scrolling marquee at the end of the airing of this episode is not correct. I guess they figured that they better change something since they got called out on it prior to the airing of the show. They indicated that Traci Rhode's nursing license had been REVOKED. It has been SUSPENDED as of 1/23/09. It's a subtle difference, but there is a difference and it's information that is readily available to the public on the Texas Board of Nursing website. Although that suspended status may change to a revoked status now that the sentence has been finalized and her 10-year probation sentence begins. If CBS insists on airing this nonsense, at least get the publicly available information straight. The inaccuracies and un-truths reported by CBS defamed the name of a good man. It?s bad enough to speak ill of the dead, even if what is being said is true. It?s inexcusable when it is based on unverified lies. CBS is dealing with another issue of the same sort right now. You would think they would learn the lesson that someone will call them on stories that are not based on verifiable fact. Is CBS capable of getting anything right or depicting anything that is true? I think not. CBS ? CAN?T BELIEVE SH*T!

So we are supposed to beleive that on top of her normal 7AM to 7PM shift that she worked almost 5 additional hours, a total of almost 17 hours, putting her home at midnight. Did CBS bother to confirm that as fact? Was anyone at the hospital asked if that was true?

I hope that CBS is a little more forthcoming in telling both sides of the story this time, rather than repeating the same old irresponsible reporting. I find it interesting that CBS has once again jumped the gun. According to the Brownsville Herald, the appeal has been dismissed at Traci Rhode's request, her nursing license has been suspended, and the hearing to finalize the sentencing is scheduled for March 23, 2009. The re-airing of this episode is scheduled for March 21, 2009, two days before the sentence is scheduled to be finalized. Wouldn't it have made more sense to wait at least until next weekend to re-air this episode when they can tell the rest of the story, after the sentence has been finalized? I guess this is just another example of how out of touch CBS is with the reality of this case, on top of trying to depict something that evolved over several years in just 45 minute of run time. If Traci Rhode is so innocent, why would she request that the appeal be dismissed? Her only recourse is through the Justice system, not through tabloid BS. It?s just more sensationalized nonsense that twists the truth.

That ***** ***** was out getting **** where ever they moved from state to state. She more than likely got sick of hiding her desire to get serviced by big Dick Willie. The truth will come out! She was *** sick.
