You are right. I don?t understand the state?s legal system. She should have gotten the full 60 years that was requested by the prosecution. It was an unbelievable sentence for First Degree Murder. But, the jury DID find her GUILTY. They even spoke to that issue on the show. They said that she was guilty, but the kids won over enough of the hearts of the jury, so they sent Traci home on probation. I may not understand the floundering sentence for this crime, but I do understand how things have worked in the legal system. You say, ?The physical evidence is not overwhelming.? Were you in the courtroom? Do you know all of the evidence that was presented? Do you know anything beyond the media reports, this heavily biased presentation on 48 hours, and maybe from Traci herself? I know these people. There is no doubt in my mind that Traci Rhode MURDERED Scot Rhode. As for ?Scott moving the family from town to town? as portrayed in 48 hours, someone at CBS needs to learn how to count a little better. They lived in five localities and moved four times, not five times. He was transferred within the same company from Iowa to Tennessee. This was part of a normal career progression within the company. The company in Tennessee began faltering, and Scott was concerned about his career and job security. He chose to seek other employment, and the family moved to Missouri. It was a smart move because the company in Tennessee closed its doors. Later, Scott did not see any further career growth where he was in Missouri, so he took another job in Arkansas. And then the final move to Brownsville in 2003. He was a professional. Moving is part of career growth in today?s professional world. I have moved a similar number of times in a similar time frame. I am by no means suicidal. I am motivated to advance my career and secure my family?s future, no different that Scott Rhode. Scott Rhode had dreams and plans for the future. Part of that plan was to dump the burden of an unfaithful wife. Until you show me that you know something other than minimal media coverage, words from Traci Rhode and 48 hours gossip BS, don?t tell me not to pass judgment!
