Beings as your comment clearly indicates that you are likely 13 years old and have had no experience at being "American" due to your age...
I would like to point out that you might want to consider are times that the Federal Government has a bigger view than either you or I can possibly have.
There are many small banks across America that have taken their TARP payments, and invested the millions of dollars back into their own local communities. This allows normal American people to buy cars, houses, and improve their lives.
Just because you have not instantly doubled your paycheck, or received some thousands of dollars worth of -free- money from the Federal Government, does not mean that your lack of instant financial gratification does not mean that all Americans are silly by supporting the Federal Government.
