There were 12 people in the jury & we did not hear all the evidence. So, don't forget we are judging only what we learned on this program. Give the jury some extra weight on what they have decided.

Now...my problem is the 911 call which seemed like he already knew she was "gone". Seemed like he didn't get near her while she lay there dead, like he just wanted someone to come in and clean it up.

Also, if his son came home early from daycare sick why was he out shopping? (Maybe to create an alibi).

Maybe he was fighting with her because of the affair that's how the tv and the door got busted(if not premeditated)Also, anyone can buy a gun.

Dick DeGuerin put on a great case--until the emails. I believe it was more than a casual relationship--after the murder of the wife, they married! Coincidence, I think not.. He said he can't remember the date he fell in love with Heather, maybe because he was in love with her and married to his wife. I do believe that an adulterer does not make a murderer, but adultery can be prove motive. Why discount the person who saw Mr. Temple on the day of the murder? Why discount the gun blasts heard by the children? And wasn't the neighbor more thoroughly investigated? There are very good arguments on both sides, but when I saw the television still plugged up and laying on its side, it just looked staged. Why was the death penalty not sought? There was an unborn fetus that died which would be a separate count of murder! I still have questions, which might be considered reasonable doubt, but I think Heather looked like she had the weight of the world on her shoulders--maybe she knows something none of us are privy to! She might well be married to a murderer!

Guilty !

Why do men kill their wives when they cheat on them, why can't they just divorce them. Why do they feel murder is acceptable? Honestly, I am surprised that he didn't also have a million dollar life insurance policy on her as well. Might as well go for the gold.

Love these shows.

I am very interested in forensic science, read, watch and learn about it whenever I can. I have seen so many cases where I had no doubt about someone's guilt, but this here is just the saddest and unjust story I have come across. I am stunned how easy it was to convict Mr. Temple of murder without apparent evidence. The motive suggested is naive, no mention of hefty life policy, marital troubles or threats. Yes, he cheated on his wife (I am sorry but so many otherwise happily married men do), but I have no doubt that he didn't intend to split from his her, leave alone have the guts to shoot her in the last weeks of pregnancy. I think his behavior and attitude in the interview and throughout the trial prove nothing but his innocence. Did he take the lie-detector test? Did he own a gun at all? Why was the investigation of the teenage neighbor stopped even though there were so many red flags, including the gun theft and his whereabouts on that day? It also wasn't made clear where the dog was that afternoon, both sides say something different. I think that would matter too.

I think that the teenage neighbor (with or without his shady friends) could have seen Temple leaving the house and possibly wanted to rob the house for petty stuff. Suspecting that it was empty, and running through it to check out stuff he/they could have come across the wife who threatened to call the cops. After all, she did report the previous troublesome behavior to the parents, she would be serious about this too. I think, the kid(s) just got scared, shot her and ran leaving everything behind. Possible? The fact that there was no forced entry- I don't think that anyone stated the side door WAS definitely locked when Mr.Temple left; it also looked that it was a very warm day, the side door could have been left slightly open to let fresh air in, especially if someone else was in the house.

Lastly, I was in CA when Peterson was on trial for murdering his wife. There is completely no similarity between these two cases. Peterson had a far-fetched plan, dyed his hair, and I believe was found in south CA with a bunch of cash getting ready to cross the border. I've never seen him shed one tear after his wife, he was a cool and arrogant liar.

I hope that this case will be reviewed again, and convincing evidence shown. I think an innocent an was sent to jail.

The main reason this coach has been convicted is because he did not push to make a followup on the case, did not actively pursue to look for other alleged criminals.

His 911 call lacks real interest in having emergency teams come over to safeguard HIS YET UNBORN 8 month old child.

As a matter of fact !! I believe that if he hadreally cared about the unborn child he would have turned his wife's body around to safeguard the unborn child from being squashed by the momīs weight.

I think this man is guilty of murdering his wife! Maybe his little casual romantic partner helped him. This guy is dangerous and he seems to be an a**hole!

That jury was doing some serious drugs.

This is ridculous. Maybe he did it. Sure. But maybe isn't good enough. This man was sent to jail for life for a crime he may not have committed.

Somebody should pay for this. Unfortunately, in real life, sometimes you just can't be reasonably certain what really has happened. When that is the situation, as this is, your only option is to let it go.

This case was not won by a prosecutor presenting a jury the facts of a case, because there wasn't one. This was won by an entertainer who played to the emotions of an audience willing to leave reason behind. Both the prosecutor and the jury forgot the basic description of the jobs they were given.

This was wrong.

I don't know about this one. His denials are a problem for me, therefore there's a huge question mark between guilt and innocence in this case. SOMETHING JUST ISN'T RIGHT HERE.

Okay, well I think the guy is guilty, but did anyone think he might have paid the next door neighbor kid to do the job?? That would explain some things....Also, a "gun" may go pop-pop, but a shotgun is different and with different ammo. I don't understand why he gets parole in 2037....I think if you murder someone you should stay in jail, period.

Remember the words from the two neighbor boys? They said they heard a loud bang; they thought it was a gunshot.WRONG. WRONG. WRONG. Gun shots in real life sound like pop-pop-pop. What most people think a gunshot sounds like is an enhanced sound - a special effect noise- from movies and tv shows. The sounds from real gun shots are so different from what people think they are, that usually the first thing anyone says is: What was that?

I can't believe that they could even consider a trial on circumstantial evidence. Guilty or not! I'm afraid I would have to go by the Bible when it comes to these kind of trials. 2 witness' or no trial. How can you convict on evidence of maybe he is guilty by association? Thank God I'm not married or involved with anyone. I hope the truth comes forth soon.

Somebody needs to take a look at this case again. I truly believe this man is NOT capable of murdering his wife and my instinct tells me this man is INNOCENT. There's not enough evidence to prove that he did it, all they keep saying is that he killed his wife because he wanted to be with another woman. I've watched most of other shows and after watching them I'm quite convinced that they have indicted the right person or people but watching this guy go to prison just breaks my heart. It just didn't sound right. I hope they find the person responsible and I wish this guy and his family the best.

Unbelievable! I watch LOTS of court cases and true crime stories (like 48 Hours)and it does not take an expert in the law to SEE this case. Where is the evidence of David's guilt?! The neighbor boys heard the shot at a specific time! The pot-smoking, liar of a neighbor failed multiple polygraphs. David Temple was on video at the time of the shot. What was his motive? Was it because of the girl he was banging? I don't think so. He made a very bad coice. Guilty of adultery for sure but where's the testamony about how bad David's marriage was or how big the insurance policy was on his dead wife. Is this jury familiar with their duty to apply REASONABLE DOUBT?!!! I can't believe how polar-opposite the result of this case was compared to O.J.'s 1st case. Were these two cases even tried in the same country? Our lady prosecutor's burden of proof was met without ANY reasonable doubt? I believe he's innocent but what can WE do about it? This travasty of justice makes me sick. And remember...there's still a cold-blooded killer out there.

I have to say that after watching this video I agree that I think David Temple is innocent. I think it is much more highly plausable that the neighbour is a suspect and should be further investigated. Hopefully something will come out in the future on this neighbour.

It strikes me that David Temple is a broken man from what had happened. He exhibits what it feels like to be in a state of shock. As a Canadian I think that Americans have to vote for stricter gun laws and have to focus more on democracy, education and health care for a better future for your country.

This case makes me to register. I can not believe it that jury said guity to the case. the man may guity for adultery but not for the murder. I definetly do not like the female prosecutor because she just so wanted to send the husband to the jail without considering the real truth. Juries may think to vate for guity because of sympathy for a dead pregnant woman, but in front of law sympathy should not be put priority to justice.

The jury got this one right, just because he sobbs about how wonderful his wife was does not make him innocent. He was having an affair, obviously would not consider divorce, it is one of the oldest motive in the book. He saw an opportunity with the neighbour who has a run in with the wife. He made sure he had an alibi with the video at the store. Marries the woman he says he did not care about, he is a liar. This case is circumstantial, and it appears that the circumstances add up to David Temple as the killer.
