Hats off to Lara "Croft" Logan for a great story about a true American hero! We need and have needed more coverage about the conflicts in Iran and Afghanistan and I suspect that Ms Logan fought for and won the air time to give this story the attention it deserved. My only fear is that as CBS News waves larger and larger bags of money under her nose as compensation for her work that she will no longer have the fire in belly and will eventually undergo the same CORPORATE LABOTOMY that the rest of the 60 Minutes crew have obviously undergone. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK LARA LOGAN!

What were Spc''s Spray and Smith thinking? If it wasn''t for Spc. Brown, these young trooper''s would probably be dead.

Spc. Brown should awarded the CMH (Medal of Honor), not for being a female, because she fits the parameters of the award.

I watched the interview with pride and amazement. SPC Brown is an American hero and an example of the thousands of Soldiers serving our country down range. She joined the Army, completed her training and deployed to Afghanistan with no other intent than to do her job. The incident on the convoy is an example of the battlefield our Soldiers face today: the enemy is everywhere.

I was very disappointed in the quality of the person conducting the interview; she was inexperienced and did not understand the military or its jargon. The article was a slap in the face to our great warriors (alive and deceased) when she stated twice that SPC Brown won the Silver Star. This award is earned for Soldiers meritorious actions against an armed enemy in combat. It is not the lottery or a bingo parlor. It is selfless service at the risk of life and death.

I cant believe that an intelligent well educated would talk to one of our military personnel and make the statement on national television that she WON the silver star. I believe she made this statement twice . I think this is very degrading. I never knew that the silver star was a competition like the Heisman trophy. This interview really infuriated me, the silver star is not a contest.

Regarding the comments directed at(WIA)SPC.Spray and SPC Smith, lay off!! These SOLDIERS are going through combat induced PTSD!! These SOLDIERS must find their path to an interior and exterior healing.

The first thing an injured soldier says to his/her fellow soldiers, "I''m sorry...I''m sorry for gettin hit." I''m sure these soldiers apologized. Wrap your minds around that, the next time you comment!!

What should they be ashamed of? Not a DAMMMMM THING!! Petty? Hell NOOOOO!! Doc Brown (SPC Brown) is a HERO. However, SPC(s) Spray and Smith are(WIA) HERO(s)!! Doc Brown, OUTSTANDING JOB!!

Two things stood out--one the interviewer used the word "win" the Silver Star it is AWARDED. You cannot compete for it. 2. The interview referred to Private Brown as an 18 year old kid--she is a well trained, mature, soldier! Geez, how demeaning.

Specialists Spray and Smith should be ashamed of themselves. How petty can you be? Regardless of your opinion on women in combat, you should at least acknowledge that she saved your life. Do I think women belong "detailed" to combat units? No, but if it means a trained medic is there when otherwise none would be, I say "mount up, trooper."
