I guerss Andy didn''t notice that between his rhetoric he disowned the 48% of Americans who voted against the half minority candidate he claims was voted in "for being the best choice because Americans believed that" - and somehow told himself that although he was proud of the "80% whites"( a very incorrect stat - too high) voting in what he claims is a "black man", he also hasn''t noticed or rather perhaps likely can''t admit the racist primary voting that put Hillary on the mat.
It is clear to me, the victory for Andy is the bigots voting for the "populist lie" that what we have is a black man voted in, by millions who needed to prove to themselves that they are "no longer racists". Once again, the primary vote exposes that lie, and it is a shame Andy''s "white democrats" have paraded a half white man, as a "black man". That of course, is one of the most racist things said this whole campaign, over and over again, that is so easily accepted and promoted by democrats, and too many of everyone else. Congratulations on nothing, actually. You''ve claimed a man that is half white, and half black according to reports, to be a black man. I''m sorry, but racism is deeply embedded in your mind, you haven''t even noticed your gigantic error, with all the time in the world to realize it.
What a terrible shame.

Like Andy Rooney, I too was very impressed by this election. However I was taken aback when he said 80 percent of the population of this country is white. I think that is true only if you count all Hispanics as white. (I checked the census website before writing this.)
In this day of such great diversity in our country I think it is not very responsible or accurate to convey the impression that one race predominates (or primarily served to elect our newest president.) We need to celebrate and embrace our diversity, not hide it or distort it''s true vibrant beauty and capacity to work together and create change.
