$40,000 (not federally incentivized) is amazing for the Volt considering that 6 months ago no one thought that the technology would even be ready for production till 2015. That is just the cost to get the car out on the road so consumers can quickly learn of its advantages. Then once production cost comes down on the e-flex platform and demand rises for it (and gas is $4.00 + a gallon) I%u2019m thinking that the cost will start to look pretty *** reasonable to Middle America.

And if you still think that foreign made vehicles provide a higher quality car at more affordable prices than you haven%u2019t taken a look at GM''s new cars that last few years.

If GM thinks middle America can afford a $40,000 electric vehicle, he is missing the mark. Rather than helping mainstreet, mainstreet will have to look to foreign made vehicles which provide higher quality at affordable prices. I can think of someone else in America who ''just doesn''t get it!''
