In response to Obama''s interview: First, does America need a LEADER or a group of Indians with no chief? I think the democratic congress has shown us exactly how little they are capable of accomplishing, why would we want to hand over the oval office to someone with no opinion of their own? Additionally, I can''t see that Obama''s strength is in assembling a strong team; his economic advisors are tied to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac! Also, if he wasn''t going to spend any of his one year as a senator in the senate, he could have chosen campaign advisors who would have warned him that Joe Biden has a big mouth and very different views than himself. Finally, if Obama is as concerned about the "war" in Iraq (it''s an operation by the way) as he claimed during the first democratic debate when he swore up and down, "The DAY I get elected, our troops are coming home!!" then why did he go to Iraq begging that the hold out on any resolutions until after the election and doesn''t want to pull our troops out until 2011. Isn''t the next election in 2012? I think it''s obvious that Barak Obama cares only about his political career and not us "bitter Americans clinging to our guns and religion." Additionally, the failure of the media to report his conduct in Iraq adequately makes me sick!

Lord help us all if McCain is elected and something were to happen to him where Palin would have to take over. I''m terrified just thinking about it.

Neither McCain or Obama has been president; so therefore no executive experience. Obama is focused, calm (very) under pressure, unlike his opponent--yet folks are still unsure of him. Examine your motives, I wonder if racism is your factor. Hmmm

I believe this interview is so much inteligent than the one from McCain. There is no comparison. Obama is more inteligent, more prepared, more advanced in his ideas, more cleaar and concrete, more everything. THIS WILL BE OUR NEXT PRESIDENT!!!!!

Has anyone else noticed that when McCain gives an answer that he KNOWS is a lie---which has been happening quite often lately----that his voice gets tight in his throat with a very slight quaver and he blinks constantly? Nothing else America tries to do will matter if there''s no money. McCain has bragged for years, including in March of this year, that he is by far the biggest deregulater. We''re seeing the mess in the markets that is the result. Also, this month, McCain wrote an article touting his belief in deregulation, citing the big success it had on Wall Street, and urging the same process for American healthcare. It was his misfortune that the article and the publication it appeared in, hit the streets about the same time of the mortgage meltdown. And that''s another big difference between Obama and McCain. Obama has been warning us since 2006 and trying to pass legislation to prevent what is happening now but the senate fillibuster has blocked every effort. Obama has the vision to look at the conditions and foresee the likely outcome. McCain never has a clue. If McCain even had a hint, he would never have committed himself to paper on such a disastrous plan as his ideas for deregulating health care--at the exact time that the republican deregulation of big business toppled the economy and melted Wall Street. It won''t help to keep a black man out of office if you choose a white man who finishes the destruction of America.

If i was asked who i would rather pick...really?? McCain is not educated at all. he came out 5th from bottom of his class at the naval academy...not university..easy stuff. he has a history of not following directions or listening to his advisors..like his selection of sara palin. Obama is used to working with very smart people coz he''s one himself..and i trust his decisions coz he takes caution and precision in making them.

We approach an election between an aging John McCain, out of touch with middle-class people and a Bi-Racial American who epitomizes what should be possible for all Americans. Who is the Elitist? Even Sean Hannity knows the right answer! McCain the officer has exchanged his honor for ambition as he attacks Obama with cynical lies. He flip-flops on a daily basis. He has lost sight of what he stands for....is he a de-regulator or a regulator......will he remain in Iraq for 100 years or not etc etc? He must be very confused at this point and I reckon he''ll become tongue-tied during the debates as he searches his mind for an answer in keeping with his desire to win at all costs. On the judgment issue, how can one take serious his selection for VP? In contrast Obama selected a passionate and experienced man. No gimmicks there. I beg independents to ask themselves if McCain has the mental and physical capacity for the immense task at hand. Also ask yourselves if he would be a dogmatic leader drawn easily to temper or one who will listen to contradiction? In contrast it is evident that Obama has the intellect, education and the calmness a leader needs. He is the man for our times and the guide who will take us on a journey to a better tomorrow as opposed to remaining on a road that will take us on a one way ticket to disaster.
Wake up Americans and open your minds!

I watched both candidate''s interviews. I know that the public should be voting on the issues. I am also interested in the moral conduct of the candidates. If the Republicans were really interested in the moral conduct of President Clinton, why would they select a man whose morals are in question? McCains tactics and his ads are intentionally misleading the American public about Obama''s tax cuts. This shows he is not honest. If Obama wins, the American people will be paying higher taxes because of the bailouts of mortgage giants and investment banks. He will inherit a mess from the last eight years.

Most of Mccain''s advisers are lobbyist for oil companies. He wants to give oil companies more money. Oil companies should not be given tax payer''s money. They will be hitting our pockets from the taxes we pay and the gas we have to buy at the gas pump. The average American will not be able to afford the fuel efficient cars that are hitting the market. It is not in the best interest of the oil industry for the government to invest in alternative energy. I don''t believe McCain will be supporting any initiative for funding alternative enery.

I just watched both interviews with the candidates and I''m still voting for Senator McCain. I get my news from all different sources since mainstream media tends to be a bit more biased. I subscribed to both Hillary Clinton and John McCain on Myspace and Facebook. I get bulletins and blogs from both. I get emails from Clinton''s Grass Roots blog. I believe you should vote for the person and not the party. This will be the first time I''ve ever voted for a Republican president. I was listening to a part of Senator McCain speech in Wisconsin that aired on FoxNews via Sirius Satellite Radio. I really liked what I heard. I work for minimum wage at a company that doesn''t offer health care benefits. I''m also a college graduate with strong ethics which is why I don''t like Senator Obama, he just doesn''t know how to tell the truth. I''ve also heard Senator Obama speak with Bill O''Reilly and it was not eloquent at all. I had read a comment someone had made about is acceptance speech being eloquent which it probably was since he was reading from a teleprompter. When the Senator has to come up with answers without first knowing the questions he sounds a bit like Porky Pig. I''ve read things on the internet from various reputable sites. Why has no one in mainstream media mentioned the lawsuit against Senator Obama and the DNC?

My husband at this time is the sole bread winner in the family due to job loss and health issues and I have been watching this election 24/7 since the onset and I keep up with the Adair and the truth-a-meter and watch MSNBC who I find to be fair and balanced, granted Mika is Dem and Joe a Pub (my description) and I find that in the recent weeks John McCain has lost his honor. He is not only the biggest liar, flip flopper, but he''s down right scary. He rarely smiles anymore. He has become so self-righteous that he''s not recognizable anymore. He thinks he''s owed this election because he served in the Vietnam War. Well, John McCain if you remember, the world saw this as a very dishonorable war. I think your lucky to have survived not only the war (when so many did not), but all the other stuff that came along with it. Many blamed the soldiers for even going to Vietnam. Thank you for your service but no thanks. You have actually become loathsome recently. I get to vote starting today in Georgia and I will cast my vote for the man in this race that seems somewhat sane. I like the goodness in Obama''s heart and the brains in his head. We need both!
