sometimes people who are in deep shock do not have any expression because they feel numb.
I am not saying that is what happened in this case.
I am sure it was more than her not crying at the scean when the detective felt something was wrong with her.
It just that people's emotions is more complecated than what others expect.

It seems like most cases are won with only circumstantial evidence. I read the book based off this crime it is hard for these shows to fit all the important facts into a hour long program. This woman was selfish she did not want to work anymore that is why she was trying to start her own business with the idiot she started cheating with. She is very guilty why do innocent people have to lie over and over again. ..

I found it very interesting that when the reporter asked her when her life began to unravel, she said at first when she got arrested.THEN she said when Jimmy died.Shouldn't it have been the other way around?

Correct no one if they are going to kill them self would choose to do it in a suffering way, they would want it over and done with as quick as they could I mean really? Also I can understand that she looks guilty but I say they let the ex wife off to soon she still should have been looked at and yes maybe she was more vibrant and looked better when this first all went down, but anyone who is going through a murder trial where your life is at stake would also look bad by the end, when a person is going to court and their life is hanging in the balance who's going to look good?

I think sometimes a person's character is reflected in their face and demeanor and that is definitely true in this case. Her misery shows on her face now (it didn't in the earlier photos where she looked bright) After the murder she looks dark, evil and sick. Her face has completely changed. What are people thinking when they cheat on their spouses to be together? Do they really think it is going to work? You can never trust the other person. She is really a fool. Good riddance you don't belong in our society.

Her lawyer was extremely unlikeable. The only person less likeable than the lawyer was the accused. Slam dunk case.

Oh my, her attorney is an idiot! "This is my first case where there wasn't direct physical evidence, a witness or a confession." As soon as he said that I would have walked out of his office. Most murder cases are full of circumstantial evidence, especially those involving fire, thats generally WHY people SET fires. Oh wow, he was also super smarmy, I wouldn't want him handling a trial on my behalf because he is wholly unlikeable.

And why, WHY would you ask that investigator something as stupid as "well you took the ex-wife's word for it, why wouldn't you take Michelle's?" DUH dummy because all she seems to do is lie! Why give the investigator the opportunity to have such a slam dunk comeback? And then in closing arguments to not only demean the man's memory by suggesting suicide, but then to try to support this whackadoo theory that he committed suicide based on...what, nothing!

If they had no debts why would he kill himself in a way that would look just like a murder so she could get some money, it makes NO sense. And then, the cherry on the cake was when he was brings up this moronic theory supported by nothing in closing arguments and then says "well if thats possible then its all the reasonable doubt you need." ***! Why not argue he was killed by magical unicorns that set smoldering fires with their unicorn horn? Why not argue he was killed by aliens? Why not argue spontaneous combustion? Why not argue that instead of blood he has poison in his veins?

If she can successfully appeal her case it would have to be on the basis of having ineffective counsel.
