- I find it hard to believe the U.S. government would be considering prosecuting Assange. He's not a U.S. citizen or resident. He has no duty to keep America's secrets and cannot commit treason against the U.S. If the roles were reversed and a U.S. news organization divulged secrets of a foreign government would the U.S. be content to see that organization prosecuted by the foreign government (perhaps North Korea, Iran or even a friendly government like Canada)?

- I take issue with Steve Kroft speaking for "the US" in his comments to Julian Assange of WikiLeaks, as if Steve Kroft really knows what "the US" thinks or says. How arrogant. I would suggest that Steve Kroft is stating HIS opinion of Julian Assange, not that of the majority of "the US". I applaud Julian Assange for doing what many US News organizations will not do, expose abuse of power. The voters in the US elect "representatives" who then completely seperate themselves from the public and hide behind the secrecy of "government policy" to enact and carry out policies that would shock US citizens. Most US news agencies are US corporations who work hand in hand with politicians, and feed the public what amounts to rhetoric and propaganda, instead of truth.

- Good interview 60 Minutes. Julian Assange is doing what corporate news refuses to do: investigate the US government. US has lost its way and our leaders have not followed in the footsteps of our "terrorist" founding fathers.

- Julian Assange, if the average citizen would do what Wikileaks has done they would be sitting in a dungeon somewhere. Do NOT ask me to feel sorry for what you have brought on yourself.
