Sollecito invited to visit Knox family in U.S.

ROME - The lawyer for the former boyfriend of Amanda Knox says her father has invited the young man to visit them in Seattle.

Luca Maori, who defended Raffaele Sollecito in his successful appeals trial, says Curt Knox has invited the young man and his family to visit.

Maori told The Associated Press in Rome Friday that Sollecito will likely visit the Knox family "by the end of the year."

Sollecito, like Amanda Knox, had been imprisoned since 2007 for Meredith Kercher's murder after being convicted by a lower court. Maori says for now Sollecito is resting and feels "frightened about leaving his house."

The lawyer says Sollecito is still quite shaken.

What has happened is a miscarriage of justice. They are both guilty of murdering that poor girl. For crying out loud, people should please take a very close look at there gestures. They are pretending, but in my own opinion, not very well. They will confess very soon. Meredith's spirit will definately haunt them till they do so.

I wonder why? It seems a bit odd to invite your boyfriend over from Europe so soon if at all.Especially after being reunited with her other ex-boyfriend who she split up with before she went to Italy.
