Dutch woman calls ex-boyfriend 65,000 times

Dutch prosecutors are charging a 42-year-old woman with stalking after she allegedly called her ex-boyfriend 65,000 times in the past year.

The 62-year-old victim from The Hague filed a police complaint in August due to the persistent phone calls. Police arrested the suspected stalker Monday, seizing several cell phones and computers from her home in Rotterdam.

Hague prosecution spokeswoman Nicolette Stoel said Thursday the woman argued to judges at a preliminary hearing she had a relationship with the man and the number of calls she placed to him wasn't excessive.

"Early Show" co-anchor Jeff Glor reported her calls works out to 1,250 times a week, 178 times a day or about once every eight minutes. Glor added that calculation is based on if she weren't sleeping.

The man denied they had a relationship.

The court ordered her not to contact him again.

Actually its what he didn't do to her - he didn't answer her calls 65,000 times.

WOW ameri - way to blame the victim - do you treat rape victims the same way, or is your hate just reserved for men?

65,000? That's absolutely ridiculous. After 5 or 10 I would have reported her and changed my phone number. I think he may have issues as well to "allow" this to be done to him!

I dated one of these desperate, wacko broads. After a caouple of dates, I had her put together and politely said "Thanks, but no thanks".

She started this same stupidity with me and after call #3, I told her that if she called again, I was going to file a complaint against her.

That stopped it.

Some people are SO desperate, eh?

I dated a woman once - and I mean literally once, and she was so weird and controlling I told her, it wasn't working out.

She hired a private detective to research me. She said later she thought if I broke it off, that meant I was married.

I wasn't married - and a private detective as a response to the FIRST DATE, not working out???

OMG....there are definitely whacko's out there.
