Suspected meteorite caught on tape in Peru

A suspected meteorite streaked across the Peruvian sky over the ancient city of Cusco on Thursday.

Residents were surprised to see the object shooting across the horizon around 2 p.m. local time.

A meteorite is a natural object from space that survives impact with the Earth's surface.

Local officials were trying to determine where the suspected meteorite may have landed.

Cusco is a city on the Andes mountain in southeastern Peru. It is a major tourist attraction and was the capital of the ancient Inca empire.

THIS IS NOT A CON-TRAIL PEOPLES ! yikes.

Contrails dissipate very quickly and only extend past the plane about 10-30 plane lengths generally speaking (from a ground viewers perspective).

Chemtrails are what we have been seeing for the past 10 years or so in which some type of chemical/aerosol is released as well as the jet fuel exhaust.

If you're under 20 you probably think that they're normal since you've been seeing them most of your life.

They also show up in a lot of animated fictional films which obviously validates them as being normal.

It's hard to tell exactly what these aerosol "contaminants" are since the FAA from the very beginning was not very helpful. "What lines in the sky?" they would say.

You could imagine that it could be the deadly gas known as carbon dioxyde which kills everything in its wake and causes massive solar-effect-like weather patterns. ( exception- plants and trees use this toxic baby killer to create oxygen, vital for mammalian life. dang mammals. but its okay, CO2 is at all time low and soon we will have choked those green shrubberies to death. and then we can harvest them for petroleum! haha, just kidding. everyone knows that petroleum is a natural resource and peak oil theories are for those bad at math. like the lottery._.)

the only thing we can surmise that these so-called chemtrails are made of would be through silly ground water and soil testing. barium and aluminum oxides, yummy. not great for plants and bees though, and you know how i feel about plants. if it wasn't for those dang seed-bearing plants (thanks God!) we would still be hunters and gatherers. haha another joke... yeah right, since we dont can't tell for sure what human history was like before the "nile delta roots of history" we're supposed to believe we ran around for 100,000 years without figuring out that plants drop seeds and seeds are like little people except in a shell? just add water, food, and love and watch them grow they say. ( i'm not sure about that though. i practically drowned my plants but they NEVER grew !)

anyway.... so yeah, right now its an Unidentified Flying Obfuscation. we could check out NeverAStraightAnswer.us.mil.gov and see what they have to say.

Scientific Reporting suspect at CBS.
A long standing report of a suspected "meteorite" shown presumably soaring over Peru cast a shadow of suspicion over the scientific qualifications of the author of such an article since 'meteorites" by definition, have already landed on earth.

Looks like the real deal to me, just like the one I saw breaking up in the atmosphere Jan 2000. To be in the right place at time is amazing.

Fake. Flame trail never changes as if frozen in time...more like a still shot doctored onto a blue sky. The only movement is from the camera jiggling and zooming in and out.

One would think a major meteor event would be noticed by legitimate astronomers, impact disturbance by seismologists and oceanographers. The vague horizon references and trajectory suggest a jet.

That's very clearly the contrail left by a high altitude jet, lit by the setting sun. This is a common misidentification. See:

Its an Airliner contrail at 30-35 thousand feet, an Optical illusion in the Sun light, Not a UFO or Meteor.. Just a cool Airplane shot, see em all the time
