Holly Bobo's kin not ruled out in disappearance

Updated at 8:15 a.m. Eastern.

PARSONS, Tenn. - Authorities refused to rule out anyone in Parsons, Tennessee as potential suspects in the disappearance of 20-year-old nursing student Holly Bobo, and are asking for help from people in the rural community as the search continues.

"We have not eliminated anyone from the investigation," Mark Gwynn, Director of the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, told "The Early Show... that's why we ask the community to look among themselves."

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and other law enforcement agencies asked residents during a news conference Sunday to take notice of anyone whose whereabouts were unaccounted for Wednesday morning when Bobo went missing.

"We've asked for their support and help," Gwynn said. "I think we're on the right track."

Bobo was last seen Wednesday morning by her brother outside the family's home.

Investigators initially said Clint Bobo saw the back of an unidentified man dragging his sister towards the woods as she was leaving for class. Now they say someone walked her away, and that her brother called 911 after spotting blood outside the house.

The man who was seen with Bobo outside her home is described as dressed in full camouflage clothing, approximately 5'10" to 6 foot tall, and from 180 to 200 pounds.

Officials said to be on the lookout for changes in behavior, such as missing work Wednesday through Friday. They also said to look for someone who may have excessively cleaned or sold a vehicle or all-terrain vehicle.

"If somebody is feeling very anxious or acting suspicious, behaving abnormally feeling a lot of anxiety - these are all things that would lead us to believe that this person could be a suspect," Spokeswoman Kristin Helm of the Tennessee Bureau Investigation said.

CBS News correspondent Don Teague reports that while police initially believed the attacker had dragged Bobo away -- based on her brother's account -- investigators now suspect it was a familiar community member who led Bobo into the woods.

"It might have been somebody close that kind of knew our routine - when I left, and when she left, and when my daughter left to go to school," said Dana Bobo, the student's father.

The public has given authorities more than 250 tips in the disappearance. Search teams continued to look for clues to Bobo's whereabouts Sunday in areas around Interstate 40 and at Natchez State Park in Henderson County.

Investigators have discovered several of Bobo's Bobo's personal items, including her cell phone, purse, and lunch box.

Tennessee law enforcement authorities ask anyone with information on Bobo's disappearance to call their tip line on: 1 800 TBI FIND (824 3463).

I still believe that the brother had a gambling debt that someone agreed to pay off for him in return for giving the guy his sister for several weeks. Who this slob is, I have no idea but the brother knows him, I feel sure and that is why he has not been vocal about her disappearance.

New significant finding! I believe it's nothing but law enforcement's attempt to panic the abductor into doing something that may lead to their exposure.

Why is there no photo of Clint Bobo available online or with any media report (that I've been able to find)?

The media shows a photo of Holly with her boyfriend when talking about her brother Clint.

Why isn't Clint Bobo talking to the media? Why didn't he attend the family's press conference with his parents after she was abducted, to show support for his parents, to offer words to Holly and/or her abductor, and show solidarity with his family and the community? Reports are that he is not attending vigils for his sister.

Why is Clint Bobo, a grown 25-year-old man, hiding and avoiding answering questions?

We won't know until we know, but I think the brother did it from what's been released so far.

His "just watching" someone drag his own sister into the woods and doing squat about same stinks to high heaven.

Maybe it's because I'm an only child, but I would think that if a brother saw his sister dragged away, he would have done something to stop her abduction. Now the story has changed?

I hope and pray that she is found and is okay. But one thing that bothers me about this story is all the media surrounding it. Could it be because I heard on the news that she is kin to a popular country singer. There are hundreds of other families in this country who has family members whos been missing for years, and you only hear about a 2 or 3 minute comment about it on the news. I'm sure that they are hoping and praying for their family members safe return home someday, but in the mean time they're still sending up prayers. I'm hoping and praying that Holly and all other families with loved ones missing for a safe return home. Many blessings to all of those families and may God bless you.

IF and that is a big if, the brother had something to do with Ms. Bobo's demise... Wouldn't they have found her by now? I'm just supposing here.

It all depends, Blondie, on how well the body (or an alive Holly) was hidden and the way the brother behaves and what he says, as well as any other evidence that might be found by investigators. Some crimes are covered up better than others.

This is a horrible situation with a beautiful young girl being abducted. My heart and prayers go out to the Bobo family. With that being said, I feel that Ms. Duncan should not tell people to "shut up" about her male. Her voice should be focused on finding her missing cousin, whom it is reported that they are "like sisters". The investigation will point to those last seen with Ms. Bobo and those closest to her. Police will rule out the brother (I have no idea how old he is) and the boyfriend if they take lie detector tests. This should (and may) have been done early on to eliminate them and move the case in the right direction. Obviously the police are only going to tell the public what they want and use the media to their advantage. The advantage is finding this beautiful young woman alive. We all know what the odds are after five days, so let's pray that this case will have a positive outcome. Personally, I feel that investigators are already focused on who did this. Right or wrong, I hope that this young girl will be found alive!

The brother is reported to be 25 years of age. He allegedly was in the shower during the alleged break-in and heard nothing. It is reported he looked out the window and saw his sister being led by a man in a camouflage-print shirt into the woods. At first the brother thought the man was Ms. Bobo's boy friend as the boy friend frequently wore such a shirt. Then, the brother sensed the man was someone else, went outside, and found blood on the ground. He immediately called 911. I believe this is the last clarification published on the actual abduction. It has been reported that only Ms. Bobo's lunch box has been found eight miles from her home. Let us continue to hope and pray she is found alive.
