The Zodiac Signs, They Are a-Changing. Maybe!

The Age of Aquarius may need a new name.

A recent Harris poll shows 31 percent of us believe in astrology.

But the Minnesota Planetarium Society says hold on -- the star constellations above us are no longer in the same alignment as they once were.

That in turn could mean zodiac charts are out of whack, and many of us may now have different signs than we think.

What's Your New Sign?!

For instance, if you think you're a Virgo, you might really be a Leo!

There's even a brand new sign, if you were born around Thanksgiving.

So it may be time for you to re-check your horoscope.

"Early Show" anchors Erica Hill, Chris Wragge, Jeff Glor and Marysol Castro did, with some amusing results:

Someone's zodiac sign is determined at your time of birth, so how can it change. If this new spin on astrology from an independent study does hold water, It can only apply for fledgling embryos rather than the birthed. Its interesting to ask people about their zodiac sign and see how it does apply... a lot of the time people really do identify with it. Discounting astrology based on your superior knowledge that springs from nothing more than the feelings you get from be right is well, uninspiring.

If astrology is a load of "poo-poo", how was I able to predict the discovery of extra-terrestrial life to within a few days, OVER 5 YEARS IN ADVANCE? (http://www.luckydays.tv/life-discovered-on-titan.html). If you think this was a "lucky guess", then you are as stupid and unstudied as I suspect you are. Adrian Fourie, Mensa

The correct pronounciation for Ophiuchus is oh fee OO kus. The sun has not changed it's path-called the Ecliptic- it always has traveled through a corner of Ophiuchus. THis silly renaming of zodiacal signs just goes to show what nonsense astrology is all about. BTW the name astrology which means study of the stars ( as in Biology, geology ) got assigned to the ancient "discipline" by a culture that didn't know any better. Yes, the records they kept are a great help to astronomers, but telling fortunes is the fanciful part of it. So the science has had to settle for the name Astronomy. What is amazing to me is how much people still think the names are synonymous.

Please feel free to "pooh-pooh" astrology... not astronomy.

Astrology is superstitious pseudo-science (in other words it's pure baloney). CBS News should not irresponsibly legitimize astrology by reporting on it as if it is worthy of our attention.

According to a Dame Nation article published today on Yahoo Live, and I quote, "... if you follow the Sidereal astrology, the Eastern branch, your sign may have shifted. (And most likely, no surprise to you at all: This news is hundreds of years old).

But for the rest of us, our horoscope, and our signs, are still the same."

Yes, your horoscope and your sign are still as bogus as they've always been.

Did anyone look at the dates in the chart?

The "new" chart has 13 overlapping days - someone on April 18 would be both a Pisces and Aries.

This has to be a hoax!

Is this coming from The Onion or an early April Fools prank?
