"Early Show" Anchors Face Off in Cook-Off

Who is the top "Early Show" chef?

Every day this week, with the help of an all-star celebrity chef, "The Early Show" anchors will face off in a series called "Comfort Food Cook-Off."

On Tuesday morning, they kicked it all off with co-anchor Erica Hill's favorite comfort food, grilled cheese.

The anchors each had these ingredients to create their comfort food dish.

Watched the show again morning... AWKWARD. The anchors don't look happy working together at all. Catty comments were made during the "cookoff" segment. Why change up a staff that was already working well?? Ugh. Painful to watch.

I need to mention their web site changes as well. Our local CBS affiliate is KDKA.com, and while their old web site wasn't the best, CBS taking over and forcing their own non-user-friendly web site onto the local station was a big, big mistake. It's very hard to find information now, show content and links not updated every day... I have 13 years of professional web site design and management experience, so I know what I'm talking about.

Hire some good web people who understand the USER EXPERIENCE. And managers who understand viewer loyalty and branding. I won't be watching this show anymore after many years.

Very much agreed! I used to look forward to watching this on Saturday morning, but that first show was not pretty. I know they have to watch their time, but how many times did Erica cut off the person she was interviewing - and not too politely? She kind of looked like she didn't want to be there. I liked the old team much, much better. They really worked well together - this team does not, at least not yet.

Dave Friedman can continue to say that "we just dont want change" but it wont change the fact that he ousted 3 professionals and replaced them with Barbie and her sister and Ken and his brother....He disrespected all three of them, Harry, Dave and Maggie by just booting them out the door, all at one time, which made it worse...all to boost the early show ratings which continue to fall every day as more and more choose to tune into NBC and ABC or other networks and will not go back to the early show until Dave Friedman steps down , is fired , or our early morning team comes back. The new team ,as they are known, are clueless half the time, they interupt their guests after asking mundane questions that no one cares to hear about anyway, and a weather girl, who is so cold in her forecasts even the men dont want to watch her screw up everyones name and half her lines....please dont even compare the new crew with the talents of Harry Dave and Maggie, there is none!!

So upset with the changes. I just can't get into the morning show. Can't believe Harry, Maggie and Dave are gone...they are dearly missed! My mornings just aren't the same! In my opinion, this change is for the birds!!!
