Are you guys still running psyops for the US army from 2 of your affiliates? Before you shovel any more stats at us, why don't we have an open and frank discussion about that?

How is this not violated? Why are we treated guilty until proved innocent? How are the searches defined as reasonable? If I were to conduct myself in the same manner outside an airport I would be arrested for assault and battery but yet I can be personally violated because it's a government official? How can I teach my daughters that no one has the right to or should touch her private part but that if it's a government worker it is okay? It is the right of the people to feel secure in their persons and in their effects but yet I feel more un-secure due to the TSA process. We teach our family morality and modesty at all times and in the presence of all but yet if it's a government "official" then it's okay to be indecent?

The RIGHT OF THE PEOPLE to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

This poll is invalid because it does not sample people who fly on planes. It samples randomly, about 1000 people nationwide. This is a flawed methodology because it does not address the consumers who actually fly.

Home of the chicken -- no longer land of the brave.

How many people have died from terrorist plane activities since 911? How many have died in terrorist plane activities between 911 and since the new fondling and x-ray policies? The answer to both questions is NONE!!!!

Stop the harassment and debasement of the American people.

No one I asked has heard about this poll, which means they were not asked their opinion. And I can assure all of us are strongly OPPOSED to being sexually violated at the airport. Allowing TSA officers to sexually violate people is the very definition of UNSAFE. FU CBS.

Other sources of polls (many more am sure), easy to find on 'net --- showing (amazingly) entirely different results than the BS "poll" in this article. Funny enough, another CBS poll (1st link) taken days after the one listed above shows opposite results.

methinks CBS isn't a good source for quality poll writing/compilation (?).

I just think this is all "magical" thinking. We constantly are trying to protect against what those out to harm us have JUST tried in the past. Who would not anticipate that the next try will be something different.

A further poll that should go beyond 1100 people is available here...

I'm sure a completely different percentage would emerge if the questions were asked:

1. Aiports are now using "full body" digital x-ray machines for screening in airport security lines, that use small doses of radiation and generate faint images of passenger's nude bodies that in some cases display outlines of the genitalia. Do you approve of the TSA using these machines as primary screening.

CBS/TSA and Rapiscan, I DARE you to conduct another survey that more accurately articulates exactly what these images look like.

Secondly, I question what percentage of the sample actually travels by air more than once a year.

once again. CBS polls in a slanted way. People can't answer questions significantly if they don't have all the information. CBS should give all the information so that people can make sound choices. People generally don't understand how explicit the pictures are and how frequent there have breaks in protocol for these nude pictures to be circulated. Also, this poll said nothing about whether adults or adults with children felt sexually violated by the new security measures that also require groping of the buttocks, breasts and genitals with the palm of the hand. This poll is meaningless and so are the pollsters who designed it.

The poll is faulty because while many Americans may agree with scanning, thinking that it would be used in an intelligent manner on specific suspects.
Americans say NO to no choice radiation in conjunction with intrusive bra and jock searches.
