10/10/10
Today is Sunday, 10/10/10.
A triple play does happen now and again.
On a Sunday however, this triplex appears
To happen just once every four hundred years.
It happened last in 1610,
And there won't be a Sunday like this once again
Until the quite distant 2410.
Which seems altogether too long to wait,
To enjoy a new Sunday that shares this date.
In the meantime, we're told many couples won't tarry,
It seems that they're all in a big rush to marry,
This morning, precisely at ten after ten.
On this magical Sunday of 10/10/10,
Do these number games matter?
The jury's still out.
And you can be pardoned,
For having some doubt.
Still, we bet numerologists will think they're in heaven,
Next November - on 11/11/11.
