Ex-Air Force Personnel: UFOs Deactivated Nukes

Whatever the mysterious lights in the sky were, they seemed to have an interest in our nukes.

One of the more out-of-the-ordinary press conferences held in Washington this week consisted of former Air Force personnel testifying to the existence of UFOs and their ability to neutralize American and Russian nuclear missiles.

UFO researcher Robert Hastings of Albuquerque, N.M., who organized the National Press Club briefing, said more than 120 former service members had told him they'd seen unidentified flying objects near nuclear weapon storage and testing grounds.

Star & Stripes quoted former Air Force Capt. Robert Salas, who was at Malmstrom Air Force Base in Montana in 1967 when 10 ICMs he was overseeing suddenly became inoperative - at the same time base security informed him of a mysterious red glowing object in the sky.

Robert Jamison, a retired USAF nuclear missile targeting officer, told of several occasions having to go out and "re-start" missiles that had been deactivated, after UFOs were sighted nearby.

Similar sightings at nuclear sites in the former Soviet Union and in Britain were related.

CBS Affiliate KSWT describes "Britain's Roswell," a case of unidentified phenomena in December 1980 incident near two Royal Air Force Bases in Suffolk, England.

Several U.S. Air Force personnel reported seeing a strange metallic object hovering in Rendlesham Forest near RAF Woodbridge, and found three depressions in the ground.

Speaking at Monday's press briefing, retired USAF Col. Charles Halt said that in December 1980, when he was deputy base commander at RAF Bentwaters, strange lights in the forest were investigated by three patrolmen.

Halt said they reported approaching a triangular craft, "approximately three meters on a side, dark metallic in appearance with strange markings. They were observing it for a period of time, and then it very quickly and silently vanished at high speed."

Two nights later, Halt investigated another sighting near the base when he was told by the base commander, "It's back."

Halt found indentations in the ground, broken branches, and low-level background radiation. He and his team also witnessed various lights moving silently in the sky, of one which was "shedding something like molten metal." Another shined a beam of light down towards them.

The incidents were never officially explained.

Several of the ex-servicemembers speaking Monday said when they'd brought their concern of such appearances to superiors, they'd been told it was "top secret" or that it "didn't happen."

Hastings suggested the presence of such phenomena meant that aliens were monitoring our weapons, and perhaps warning us - "a sign to Washington and Moscow that we are playing with fire," as he was quoted in the Telegraph.

Hastings predicted a "paradigm shift" in the mindset of humanity owing to the existence of alien life.

"Traditional institutions such as religions, governments, other social institutions may be threatened by what is coming. That is just the logical consequence of what is about to occur."

The U.S. Air Force ended its 22-year-long "Project Blue Book" investigation of UFO sightings after investigating 12,618 sightings; all but 701 were explained, and the reminder categorized as "unidentified" due to sketchy
reports, a Pentagon spokesman said in 1997.

"We cannot substantiate the existence of UFOs, and we are not harboring the remains of UFOs," said Pentagon spokesperson Kenneth Bacon in 1997. "I can't be more clear about it than that."

If the UFO issue was a murder trial, ET would have been lynched 10 times over. Before to poke holes in this story, perhaps you should look at the full body of evidence. Documentation, Testimony, Photos and Trace Evidence. Only it would take a lifetime to do. Is it so hard to believe that military and capitalists more wealthy than god would keep highly advanced technology for themselves? The new photos match the old paintings... Unless the military's new toys can reverse time travel, it is ET folks.

Too bad they haven't flown over Pakistan and North Korea...there's two places that need a UFO visit.

in 2010 a UFO was seen hovering over a North Korea missile launch test. Shortly after takeoff it exploded.

The aliens have been concerned about nuclear weapons and their ability to destroy the planet for a long time now. They have been sending messages to the US military warning about this. Periodically they disable US nuclear missiles as part of this warning. The US military/intelligence community does not want the truth about advanced aliens visiting from outer space to be revealed, since that would undermine US military and economic dominance of the world. This elaborate coverup has been going on for almost 60 years. See www.ufocoverup.org for more info

If history is to be of any use to use, we must look to the history of the psychosocial constructs of societal paradigms throughout the timeline of humanity. Virtually all of the great thinkers of the ages, every one of them experienced ridicule and a hash retaliation for shaking the comfort zone of the social construct of their respective times.

It is my opinion that from a macro perspective on the global society, one must step back and review where we are in history. We are in the largest age of shared knowledge in the entirety of civilization. That opinions thought ridiculous or science fiction only decades ago, are science fact today, serves to prove how fast we are swallowing the mistakes of former shortsighted paradigms of reality.

Forty years ago this discourse on UFO's would not have even been technologically possible and would most certainly have been censored by CBS out of fear that their profit margins would fall. I believe that we are in a time of paradigm shift on a global scale. Those that hold on to the old defensive posture are fighting the death throws of a world view that cannot continue.

Those that are venturing into the new world of possibilities will benefit the whole of the world. Those that would kick Columbus into the ship and laugh, are going to find that the truth of price of their success will be revealed.

Heads up to the wealthy, the mentality of feeding the masses only the information that profits you is dying very quickly. Either grow a conscience and release what you have hidden from us or suffer the backlash of the world. Those that the hold the most toys in this sandbox called life, does not win. Compassion, truth, dignity, honor and all that is the best for our children's future is the nexus for this new paradigm, Get on board or fade from memory, its your choice, I can only hope that you choose quickly before we permanently damage our children's chances.

As usual, whenever the ignorant(that includes military officers) see something they don't understand they assume it is supernatural, space aliens, or "god". That accounts for all religions, the WWE, Astrology, and ghost "sightings".

The simple question about these "aliens" is, "if they are here and so interested in us, where are they?"

They, like god and ghosts, do not exist. I don't rule them out, but I do rule out that they are here.

Have you even bothered to look into actual cases that are documented by our military and available to the public at the National Archives? We're not talking about "lights in the sky" here. That's a myth perpetuated by our culture. Look at ANY of the large scale SCIENTIFIC studies available (Project Blue Book Special Report #14 conducted by scientists at the BMI being the largest). That would be a rational, objective place the start, would it not? When someone reports a structured craft (NOT a random light in the sky, otherwise I wouldn't care) it can no longer be "anything." As Report 14 found, the better the quality of the observation and the longer the duration the GREATER the chance of remaining an unknown (and the criteria was as strict as it gets, go ahead and look). This is the opposite of what we are fed by our culture (everybody repeats it, but nobody knows why or where it came from) that the "few" that remain unidentified could have been if they were better quality sightings (closer range, longer duration, etc). By the way, there are plenty involved with the field that are actually atheists, big fans of science (I own almost every Carl Sagan book and am a pretty big admirer despite his position) and that do NOT believe in ghosts or astrology. Don't lump all your eggs into one basket. That's a logical fallacy.

For those of us who have personally witnessed these crafts for decades and who have done their homework on the subject of UFOs, there is no more debate about their existence. The good evidence and sightings are irrefutable. They are real, they are here and they are monitoring us. The questions now are: who pilots these crafts, where are they from, and what is their agenda? And for the ?don?t bother me with the facts, my mind is made up? crowd, I seriously doubt they would believe that UFOs exist even if one landed in their backyard and the pilot confronted them face-to-face. Some people just can?t handle the truth.

If it is an unknown ship it is probably just the air force testing on some new toy on our own facilities.

Yeah, right. The air force would disarm a nuclear facility for over a day without so much as letting the base commander know about their test.

No solid concrete scientific evidence? Only second hand accounts? Not only have you not looked into the phenomenon evidently, you didn't even bother to listen to the accounts (several WERE first hand).

There certainly is no "proof" that UFOs are ET in origin, if that's what you mean. However, there is a tremendous abundance of very strong physical evidence. Try looking somewhere other than the tabloids...

Sounds to me like you're just regurgitating what you've picked up from the culture. Would you like to discuss the findings of the largest scale scientific study ever conducted on the matter of UFOs, Project Blue Book Special Report #14 conducted by the BMI? Ever heard of the French Cometa Report? Even the Condon Report (which is a well known, *proven* sham if you care to look into it at all) is great evidence if you ignore the window dressing and look at the actual case studies. The researchers and scientists involved in the tome strongly contradicted Condon's predetermined conclusion.

I agree, as a species we are destructive.

Any species intelligent enough to travel here would find us repulsive. Like cockroaches.
