Survey: Nurses Most Dependent on Coffee at Work
A new survey shows that nearly one-third of American workers need a cup of coffee to get through the workday.
The survey, from CareerBuilder.com and Dunkin Donuts, says the workers most dependent on their cup of Joe are nurses, followed by doctors and hotel workers.
By age group, it's young people, with 43 percent of workers aged 18-to-34 reporting lower energy if they don't drink coffee.
By region, the most reliant on coffee are people in the Northeast, with 48 percent of respondents people claiming they're less productive without coffee, compared to the South at 45 percent, West at 44 percent and Midwest at 34 percent.
The survey of more than 3,600 workers was conducted online within the U.S. by Harris Interactive, on behalf of CareerBuilder.com.
