Reports: Holloway's Mom Confronts van der Sloot
Beth Holloway Twitty, the mother of missing Alabama teen Natalee Holloway, reportedly snuck into a Peruvian jail and confronted the young man who is the prime suspect in her daughter's disappearance.
Local media say Twitty had a hidden camera with her, but that van der Sloot clammed up.
She was then taken into custory herself, the reports say.
According to CBS News Correspondent Kelly Cobiella, the last time Twitty came face-to-face with van der Sloot was the night after Natalee disappeared.
This time, reports say, their meeting was very brief - but dramatic.

Van der sloot has been in Peru's notorious Castro Castro Prison for almost four months, charged with the brutal murder of a 21-year-old Peruvian woman, Stephany Flores.
According to Peruvian news agencies, Twitty managed to see him again Thursday.
Van der Sloot has long been the prime suspect in her daughter's disappearance on the island of Aruba five-and-a-half years ago.
Apparently, Holloway snuck into the prison without being identified and carrying a hidden camera, aided by a Dutch TV reporter who's doing a special on Natalee, and spent about five minutes with van der Sloot.
She's said to have started the meeting by telling him she had "no hate in her soul" for him.
Van der Sloot reportedly responded by handing Twitty his attorney's business card and saying he couldn't speak without his lawyer present.
Gossip website Radaronline.com goes further, claiming Twitty asked direct questions about Natalee's disappearance, but that van der Sloot refused to answer.
Twitty's attorney, John Q. Kelly, confirms only that his client is in Peru, saying, "She's a mother, without a daughter. She wants to bring her daughter home."
Peruvian authorities quickly removed Twitty from the prison, and local media say she's being detained by those authorities.

Newsflash to an insensitive know-it-all...Drinking at 18 is LEGAL in many places, and Aruba is one of those places. And I feel sorry for your kids.
The way she is putting energy into the wrong efforts is like she is trying to compensate for something about herself. It is almost like it isn't about her daughter anymore.
I understand Beth's desire for answers. I'd keep trying too but this attempt seemed so far fetched. She may have blown any realistic future undercover attempts b/c now joran's going to have his guard up. Anyway, hopes she's ok down there.
what I don't understand is why she did'nt take this much time and effort
to investigate why 17 year old high school students need to go on a graduation trip to Aruba !? From the beginning of this mystery I just could not wrap my head around the fact that there were actually parents out there that thought this idea made any sense. Aruba is an adult playground so why is anyone surprised that these kids sought out adult
activities IE : alcohol, late night dance clubs, drugs, sexual activity,
casinos , midnight walks on the beach ..... ?? When I graduated we went to visit the state capitol on the train ...and, we did not stay over night. Why were these young people put into a situation that they could not handle !? As I understand from news articles, there were 30+ students with 5 adult (?) chaperones. Does anyone else see a problem here but me ? This trip was doomed from the start because so many adult providers did not do their homework by thinking this "vacation" was sensable.
Anywhere. You don't accomplish anything by breaking the law in any country
especially Peru. It is certainly tragic and terrible to lose a child, but
you don't make it worse by throwing your life into a hole like this.
Throw your energy into reforms, advocacy, anti-human trafficking and so
on there is so much she could do without getting busted in a third world
country engaging in what most folks will perceive as a dumb stunt.
I admit that it's not the most sensible thing to do, but how sensible do you think YOU'D be if this had been YOUR child?
You really need to change your user name because going through these posts, you are really against anyone who DOES NOT AGREE WITH YOU. Are people not entitiled to their own opinions? I did comment to your reply to my earlier post, but forgot one thing, I do have a child and I am proud to say that I am raising said child to be opinionated and stand up for oneself and not let people like you tell others how to think/feel. Last time I checked I was in America and it is my right as well as everyone else on this blog to state how THEY feel not what how YOU want them to feel. Have a nice weekend.
Many married couples divorce after the loss of a child, simply because the pain is too great for BOTH of them.
Have YOU ever lost a child? Your comment is extremely mean-spirited, although I'm sure that you think that you're "above it all".
you're presuming that she's already dead to make this conclusion ... and her problem is that she really doesn't know this for sure.
what if she's still alive? what would this mean for her to 'move on' ... and for her to stop trying to determine what really happened to her daughter? i'm guessing she just can't do that ... her life now is driven by what her instinct is as a mother ... to do everything she can to protect her daughter ... even if it doesn't make sense to you.
a bribe?
