(CBS/AP)  Federal prosecutors say a former Army soldier told authorities he planned to kill President Barack Obama and former President Bill Clinton after he was arrested in a hostage standoff at a Georgia military hospital.

Charges filed in federal court Tuesday identify the suspect as Robert Anthony Quinones. Authorities say he's the former soldier who took three employees hostage Monday at Winn Army Community Hospital at Fort Stewart. No one was injured.

Besides charges related to the hospital standoff, court documents say Quinones told investigators after his arrest Monday that he planned to kill Obama and Clinton. He is also charged making threats against them.

The court documents say Quinones was discharged from the Army in February.

Fort Stewart spokesman Kevin Larson said Monday that the then-unidentified suspect was carrying four guns when he came into the hospital around 4 a.m. Monday and took the three workers hostage on the third floor. He said the gunman told them he wanted treatment for behavioral problems.

Brigadier General Jeffrey Phillips said the man grabbed a medic and took her up to the third floor, where behavioral healthcare is provided, reports CBS affiliate WTOC in Savannah, Ga. Phillips said the man took two more hostages - a senior nurse on call and another soldier who is an employee at the hospital.

Larson said one of the hostages, an Army officer who is a nurse, helped police talk Quinones into surrendering peacefully.

Should one question the threats of these well educated armed citizens as being anti-democratic?
We don't see a lot of dem's running around with guns and trying to change society that way. Wanting to KILL the repub's? It doesn't happen that way. All this hate will destroy our society from the inside our. Unfortunately, the real deep thinkers with guns will win out. Like the taliban and aq and the well armed repub's.

How sad for this x-military man; he is apparently very ill. Most citizens realize how difficult it is to serve in the military, especially in light of how this president reacts to us Americans, our flag, and our constitution. Many feel that it is treasonous for a president to "out" one of his own states to the UN, let alone "out" all of America to the President of Mexico, or bow to the Saudis or, or, or, believe all of you get the point. As far as Clinton is concerned, he did all of America and injustice with his big headed thinking on a world government, and putting all of our work out to other countries. He needs to stay out of politics.

I can't say I blame Him.

For years our woundwd and sick veterans were living under conditions not even tolerated in local, State and Federal prisons.

Mold, ceilings coming down, leaky plumbing, material falling off the walls, prisoners on Gitmo do not have to live in such conditions.

Has anyone seen the infamous empty prison in Illinois?

It looks like a 5 star Hotel.

It's equipped like one too, libraries, rec rooms complete with pool tables and ping-pong tables and gyms for the prisoners to work out in.

One doctor at a VA hospital even made the comment that the most basic prosthesis were good enough for these guys who were going to sit in their ***** and collect military pensions.

The whole situation is disgusting.
