3 LAX Terminals Shut After Guard Disappears

(AP)  Officials say three terminals at the Los Angeles International Airport were briefly shut down after an airport contract worker left an exit from a secure area unattended.

Transportation Security Administration spokesman Jon Allen says an officer discovered about 4:30 a.m. Saturday that an exit from one of the terminals was unguarded.

He says three checkpoints were closed and officers reviewed videotape from all three exits.

Allen says the tapes showed no one entered the secure area through the exit while it was unguarded.

Airport spokesman Marshal Lowe says all terminals are now open. He says five arrivals and three departures were slightly delayed.

Allen says the TSA is reviewing how long the lane was left unattended. He says the incident will be investigated.

Did they ever locate this person?

This just doesn't sound good at all and that is a fact.

The media, for some reason, would rather "speculate" on things than wait for the facts. And they can't even do a good job of speculating. You would have thought they would have said something about whether or not they located the person. Even if it was that they hadn't found out yet.

You can sleep secure at night knowing your TSA is alert and on the job.

What exactly are you complaining about? They had a security breach, they detected it and they corrected it.

Is there anything you don't whine about? Jesus.

Guess you don't have to wear a sign that says,"I am a bigot".

I hope that you are wrong but that is exactly what went through my mind it just seems that haven't learned anything about strange happenings.

I just hope they find the lost employee and there is nothing to worry about.
