Israeli Soldier Charged With Looting Gaza Ship

(AP)  The Israeli military says a soldier has been charged with looting the lead ship in a Gaza blockade-busting flotilla stopped by Israeli naval commandos in a bloody raid at the end of May.

The military said in a statement that the soldier is accused of stealing equipment from the Mavi Marmara ship after it was towed to an Israeli port.

The statement late Thursday said the soldier's actions "directly contradict the Israeli military's moral standards."

Nine Turkish pro-Palestinian activists were killed when raiding Israeli naval commandos were attacked and opened fire. Both sides say they acted in self-defense.

The bloody raid set off an outcry and forced Israel to ease its blockade of Gaza, aimed at weakening Gaza's Hamas rulers and preventing weapons shipments.

Israel is a brutal regime, that is based solely on stealing land from the impoverished inhabitants, and rounding them up into modern day concentration camps, commonly referred to as "refugee camps".

And if the people refuse to allow their land to be taken from them, they are quickly branded "terrorists", removed at gunpoint (or stretcher or body bag), and their house is subsequently bulldozed.

That's what I know about Israel. What's your version?

I know that an Israeli used a bulldozer to run over a 23 year old American girl who lied down in front of a house to try to stop the bulldozer instead of arresting and removing her first. I haven't heard if that Israeli was ever punished for the murder either.

I'm not "ignorant" about Israel. They are an apartheid state that sponsors acts of terrorism worldwide and whose agents have infiltrated the US government at he highest levels.

This *very* story references when Israel soldiers murdered in cold blood 9 unarmed aid workers, and now they're charged with looting the scene.

Here's something constructive to add: Israel is a rogue nation that should be sanctioned by the UN and if they fail to change their barbaric and inhuman ways they should be invaded, occupied and if necessary dismantled for the sake of humanity.
