Bristol Palin, "The Situation" among "DWTS" Cast

(AP)  The mother of "The Brady Bunch," a former NFL quarterback, one of the self-proclaimed "guidos" from "Jersey Shore" and the daughter of Sarah Palin are among the celebrities who will cha-cha-cha on the 11th season of "Dancing with the Stars."

Tom Bergeron and Brooke Burke, hosts of the ABC ballroom competition, announced the cast Monday.

"The Brady Bunch" matriarch Florence Henderson, retired Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kurt Warner, "Jersey Shore" co-star Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino and Bristol Palin are among the 12 celebrities who will be paired with professional dance partners and train before their prime-time premiere Sept. 20. How does Palin's mother feel about her dancing gig?

"She's excited for me," said Bristol. "She knows that this is going to be hard work, but she's excited."

Also competing for the mirrorball trophy will be: "When a Man Loves a Woman" singer Michael Bolton, comedian-actress Margaret Cho, former Los Angeles Lakers forward Rick Fox, "Dirty Dancing" actress Jennifer Grey, "Baywatch" actor David Hasselhoff, Disney Channel star Kyle Massey, singer-actress Brandy Norwood and "The Hills" co-star Audrina Patridge.

"I'm happy to be here," said Hasselhoff. "My two daughters love this show, and they convinced me."

The names of most of the celebrity contestants, save for 19-year-old "That's So Raven" and "Cory in the House" star Kyle Massey, had been widely rumored as competitors in the weeks leading up to Monday's official announcement, which was broadcast live during "Bachelor Pad." The first celebrity and their professional partner will be eliminated Sept. 21.

Audience voting will probably save her; Big Mama's Tea Party people really know how to organize.

Leave her alone.... she chose to put herself in the public eye.... this was Dancing with the Stars,
She is no part of a star. What do you mean Levi got her pregnant? I have never heard anything about her being raped, 2 laid down and 3 got up.... being the daughter of a ditz that claims she can see Russia from her
backyard does not a star make. Until now I have never missed an episode of DWTS. I will not watch this season and as deep as they had to dig in the barrel this year I would venture to guess their wont be any future
seasons.

Goodness, Palen didn't say that she could see Russia from her back yard, that was a SNL skit. !!

This just in...capitalizing on the popularity of DWTS in America, Iran has come up with an Islamic themed rip-off called "Dancing With the Mullahs." Now that I would watch.

I think it will be hilarious to watch. I don't know if the Hoff can make it to the end or will try to. I certainly feel very bad for him though, I liked him on America's Got Talent but hopefully he will rid of his demons. I wish him the best of luck.

Sarah is pimping out Bristol now, how quaint.

No, Bristol pimped herself out a long time ago.

Like all other reality shows, DWTS is now nothing more than a ratings *****. They took a good family-family friendly show and have pimped it out. My family won't be watching anymore.

Hasselhoff will have Wendy's-single-lettuce hanging out of his mouth as he dances.

"The Situation"? THE SITUATION? What have we come to in this country? Why didn't someone grab that jerk by his lapels and slap him silly and say "Your name is NOT "The Situation"! Go by your REAL name like normal people"! And the producers of that ridiculous show don't think there's anything weird about it, I guess. Maybe I'm the one who's crazy.

Since when is Bristol Palin a "star"? DWTS's is scraping the bottom of the barrel now and may as well do away with the "stars" part of their name. This will be a season I'll be sure to...miss.
