Reporter Hit in Head in Viral Video Discusses It
(CBS)
Jessica Kastrop could be nicknamed "ball magnet."
Kastrop, an experienced television sportscaster for Germany's SKY TV, was in the middle of a pregame broadcast when she was hit in the back of the head by a soccer ball.
Kastrop said on "The Early Show" that this is the third time a ball has whacked her in the head. The first time, in 2005, sent her to the hospital.
Though the latest ball was reportedly hurtling through the air at 100 miles per hour, Kastrop took it in stride. She continued talking for five more minutes, until she was off the air.
The player, Khalid Boulahrouz, who had fired off a stray shot from the other side of the field, approached Kastrop and apologized. He later gave an autographed ball, flowers -- and a helmet!
The video has since gone viral online, garnering hundreds of thousands of hits on sites like YouTube.
